LARRY LIPKIS

Professor of Music and Composer-in-Residence
EDUCATION: B.A., University of California at Los Angeles; M.A., University of Pennsylvania; Ph.D., University of California at Santa Barbara
INTERESTS: Composition and early music. Five of Dr. Lipkis’s works have been recorded on CD. His bass trombone concerto was premiered in 1997 by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He performs and records with the Baltimore Consort, an internationally acclaimed early music ensemble specializing in popular music from Shakespeare’s time. He is also a classical music programmer for WDIY-FM.
