The 2002 Moravian College men’s cross country team finished the season with a seventh place finish at the MAC Championships and a 17th place showing at the Mideast Regional under the direction of head coach Mark Will-Weber.
Sophomore Patrick Grogan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame HS) led the Greyhounds at the Regionals with a 28th place finish and at the MAC Championships with a 17th place finish, earning him Second Team All-MAC honors.
Junior Joe Grady (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke HS) placed 63rd in the regional and 27th at the conference meet. Freshman Greg Rarick (Drums, PA/Hazleton HS) finished 121st in the regional meet and 44th at the MAC Championships.
Senior Wes Zimmerman (Boyertown, PA/Boyertown HS) finished 63rd at the MAC Championships and 138th in the regional meet, while freshman William Shimer (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) placed 61st at the conference meet and 163rd in the regional. Junior Martin Miller (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) placed 148th in the regional and took a 72nd finish at the MAC Championships. Freshman Russell Zaleski (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough HS) was 66th at the conference meet and 176th in the regional.
Sophomore Matt Oertner (Slatington, PA/Northern Lehigh HS) and junior Sean McDonnell (Scranton, PA/Scranton Prep) finished 74th and 82nd in the MAC Championships, respectively, while senior Matt Plewinski (Hatfield, PA/North Penn HS) was 92nd in the conference meet. Freshman Michael Caffrey (Easton, PA/Easton HS) placed 102nd at the MAC’s, while sophomore Anthony Bisti (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddon Heights HS) finished 113th.
