2005 Review

The 2005 Moravian College men’s cross country team finished the season with a ninth place finish at the 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships and a 21st place showing at the Mideast Regional under the direction of head coach Mark Will-Weber.

Junior Josh Hunter (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton HS) had his best time at the 2005 MAC Championships with a time of 27:57.82. Hunter led the team in this race finishing 30th, and the NCAA Mideast-Regional finishing 66th. Junior Tim Pagano (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West HS) placed 46th in the MAC Championships, and had his best time of 28:09.2 of the season to finish 89th in the NCAA Mideast-Regional race.

Senior William Shimer (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) placed 159th in the regional race while having his best time of 28:56.18 in the MAC Championship. Junior Anthony Sarno (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Township HS) finished 65th in MAC Championship while placing 139th at the NCAA Mideast-Regional. Here, he had his best time of the season at 29:01.4, while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley HS) was 171st in the regional meet and 69th at the MAC Championship. His best time was 29:35.08 at the MAC Championships.

Freshman Tim Murphy (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) recorded his best time on 30:31.45 for an 88th place finish in the MAC Championships while placing 223 at the regional meet. Junior Eric Kratz (Parsippany, NJ/ Parsippany Hills HS) placed 268th overall in the regional meet and 132nd in the MAC Championships. His best time was 38:18.07 at the MAC Championships.

The men’s cross country team had two student athletes named to the 2005 Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Fall Academic Honor Roll including Shimer and Pagano.
