2006 Review

The 2006 Moravian College men’s cross country team is under the direction of first-year coach Welles Lobb.

Senior Josh Hunter (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton HS) had his best time of the season of 27:34.00 at the College Misericordia Cougar Classic where he placed first. Hunter also ran a 29:13.08 at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships where he placed 26th. Junior Timothy Pagano (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West HS) ran a 28:17.00at 2006 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional where he received a 67th place finish.

Senior Anthony Sarno (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Township HS) ran a 29:32.00for a 132nd place finish in the 2006 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional, while senior Eric Kratz (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany Hills HS) placed 130th with a 38:13.27 time. Sophomore Jeremiah Reinhart (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley HS) got 70th place in the MAC Championships with a time of 30:53.97.

Also running in the MAC Championships were freshmen Steve DeFazio (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS), who ran a 32:10.76 for an 85th place finish, freshmen Tim Betz (Havertown, PA/Haverford HS) who placed 93rd off a time of 33:02.89, and sophomore John McCullough (Levittown, PA/Conwell-Egan HS), who ran a 35:03.23 for a 114th place finish.

Pagano, Sarno, and McCullough were named to the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Fall Academic Honor Roll.
