The Falcons, ranked third in this week’s Styx/NFHCA Top 20 poll, took a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute. Messiah would extend the lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute. Both goals were scored on penalty corners. Messiah extended its lead to 3-0 in the 32nd minute. The Falcons scored the only one of the second half in the 50th minute. Vs. #13 Lebanon Valley College – Lost 3-2      Box Score

Moravian nearly upset the #13th ranked team in the nation as Lebanon Valley College rallied from a 2-0 deficit with three goals in a nine minute span late in the second half for a 3-2 win over the Greyhounds at Betty Prince Field. Moravian took a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute when senior forward Stacee Cupples scored an unassisted goal off of a rebound. The goal was Cupples 11th of the season and the 30th of her career. Cupples is just the third player in school history to score 30 or more goals in a career. The Greyhounds would have a goal waved off in the 25th minute on a third-man penalty during a Moravian penalty corner. Moravian also had a shot hit the post and bound out-of-bounds in the first half. Cupples was awarded a penalty stroke with 5:45 remaining in the first half after having her stick pulled away on a breakaway. Cupples converted on a shot to the upper right corner of the goal for a 2-0 Greyhound lead. The goal gave Cupples 83 points for her career, passing Tanya Thear for second in school history. The nationally-ranked Flying Dutchmen wouldn't get on the board until the 52nd minute; however, Lebanon Valley would score three times in 9:07 for the victory with two of the goals coming on penalty corners. Lebanon Valley had a 19-7 advantage in shots and a 21-2 edge in penalty corners. The Flying Dutchmen out shot the Greyhounds 14-1 in the second half and had 15 penalty corners to none for Moravian after the intermission. Junior goalie Amanda Gaun made seven saves for the Greyhounds. Senior defender Jill Brinckman and junior defender Kim Gialanella each made defensive saves for the Greyhounds. This was the second straight match in which Moravian saw a two-goal first half lead disappear.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute when senior forward Stacee Cupples scored an unassisted goal on a penalty corner. Cupples would give Moravian a 2-0 lead in the 13th minute with another unassisted goal, her tenth goal of the season and 29th of her career moving Cupples into a tie for third all-time in career goals at Moravian. The Lions would get one goal back before halftime with a tally in the 20th minute. Albright tied the match at the 56 minute mark and won the contest 3:41 into the overtime session. Freshman forward Nicole Maugle opened the scoring for Moravian with her second goal of the season off an assist by senior forward Stacee Cupples. The assist was Cupples' school-record 20th of her career. Baker added goals in the 30th and 62nd minutes, her fifth and sixth goals of the season, to help Moravian build a 3-0 lead.
