At Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational 3rd of 9 (Second Round Cancelled)
The Moravian College golf team finished third place of nine schools after the second day of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational was cancelled due to rain. The Greyhounds had a team score of 319 in Sunday's opening round while Susquehanna University finished first with a team score of 300.
Junior Lucas Smith, pictured at right, led Moravian with a 76 on the par 72 course, which placed him fifth of the 45 golfers in the tournament. Senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini tied for seventh with a 78 while senior Alan Kliewer tied for 12th after an 80. Junior Seth Hartman fired an 85 to tie for 29th while sophomore John Dimler placed 32nd with an 86.

At Lehigh Valley Collegiate Invitational 3rd of 4
The Moravian College golf team placed third of four teams at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Invitational hosted by Lafayette College at Northampton Country Club. The Greyhounds had a team score of 313 while Lafayette shot 295. Lehigh University was second at 298 while Muhlenberg College finished fourth at 330.
Senior Alan Kliewer, pictured at right, led Moravian with a round of 76 on the par 72 course, tying for seven of the 27 golfers. Sophomore John Dimler tied for ninth with a 77 while junior Lucas Smith and sophomore Scott Stires were tied with 16th with rounds of 80. Senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini had an 83 to tie for 20th while freshman Aaron Thieme was tied for 22nd with an 84. Junior Seth Hartman rounded out the Greyhounds line-up with an 85 to place 24th.

At 2009-10 Empire 8 Athletic Conference Championships Final Round 3rd of 8
The Moravian College golf team finished third of eight schools after the fourth and final round of the 2009-10 Empire 8 Athletic Conference Championships. The Greyhounds, who were sixth after the two fall rounds, posted a team score of 324, the third lowest of the final day, at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club hosted by Susquehanna University. The Crusaders are won their first Empire 8 Championship with a team score of 1,221. St. John Fisher College was the runner-up at 1,238 while Moravian posted a team score of 1,293, two strokes ahead of Nazareth College and three strokes ahead of Elmira College.
The Greyhounds had four players that also played in the fall with junior Seth Hartman, pictured at right, earning Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team honors as he tied for seventh at 319 with a final round of 81 on the par 70 course. Junior Lucas Smith finished in a tie for 13th with a four-round score of 326 after a team low of 77 in the final round while sophomore John Dimler was 23rd at 336 with an 84 in the final round. Sophomore Sam Stires placed 24th of the 33 golfers that played all four rounds at 337 after an 83 in the final round.
Sophomore Scott Stires finished in a tie for 46th at 171 with an 83 in the fourth round while freshman Aaron Thieme was 57th of the 63 total golfers in the Empire 8 Championships with a 186 after a final round of 93. Senior Alan Kliewer, who played the two opening rounds, finished 36th at 159, while senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini was tied for 39th in the tournament after a 162 in the first two rounds.

The Moravian College golf team moved up to fifth after the third round of the 2009-10 Empire 8 Athletic Conference Championships. The Greyhounds, who were sixth after the two fall rounds, posted a team score of 334, the third lowest of the day, at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club hosted by Susquehanna University. The Crusaders are currently first at 909 while Moravian has a three-round total of 969.
The Greyhounds have four players that also played in the fall with junior Seth Hartman, pictured at right, tied for tenth at 238 after a third round score of 238. Junior Lucas Smith is tied for 20th at 249 after an 88 in the third round while sophomore John Dimler is tied for 22nd at 252 with an 80 in the third round. Sophomore Sam Stires is 24th of the 33 golfers that have played all three rounds at 254 after an 82 in the third round. Sophomore Scott Stires played his first round of the tournament firing an 88 on the par 70 course while freshman Aaron Theime had a 93 in his first round.

The Moravian College golf team played its final tune-up before the Empire 8 Championships by competing at the Susquehanna University Spring Invitational Thursday afternoon at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. The Greyhounds and Manhattanville College each had team scores of 325 while Susquehanna University won the tournament with a team total of 299.
Senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini, pictured at right, led Moravian with a round of 79 on the par 70 course, which tied him for 12th of the 63 golfers. Junior Lucas Smith was tied for 16th after a round of 80 while freshman Aaro Thieme tied for 21st with an 18-hole total of 81. Junior Seth Hartman finished the tournament with a round of 85 to tie for 35th while senior Alan Kliewer was 60th with a 95.

The Moravian College golf team tied for eighth of 17 teams at the Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College Monday afternoon at the Bent Creek Country Club. The Greyhounds and Keystone College each had team scores of 333 while Albright College won the tournament with a team total of 318.
Junior Lucas Smith, pictured at right, led Moravian with a round of 76 on the par 71 course, which tied him for tenth of the 83 golfers. The Moravian College golf team tied for sixth of 20 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Spring Tournament Monday afternoon at the Lebanon Country Club. The Greyhounds and Keystone College each had team scores of 333 while Albright College won the tournament with a team total of 318.
Sophomore John Dimler and junior Seth Hartman, pictured at right, led Moravian with rounds of 80 on the par 72 course, which tied them for 12th of 103 golfers. Senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini tied for 44th in the tournament with a round of 86 while junior Lucas Smith was tied for 46th with an 87. Senior Alan Kliewer was tied for 69th after a 96 in his opening round of the spring.

The Moravian College golf team began its 2010 spring season by hosting its annual Moravian College Spring Invitational at Woodstone Country Club on Thursday. The Greyhounds placed sixth of 19 teams with a score of 329. Franklin & Marshall College won the tournament with a score of 310 while Messiah College was the runner-up at 311.
Sophomore John Dimler, pictured at right, led Moravian with a round of 81 on the par 72 course, which tied him for 22nd of 96 golfers. Sophomore Scott Stires fired a round of 82, which tied him for 24th while junior Lucas Smith and sophomore Sam Stires each had rounds of 83, tying for 33rd place. Senior Nicholas-Repko-Moschini round out Moravian's team of five with an 18-hole total of 84. The Greyhounds did have a pair of individuals play as well with junior Eric Dziengelski firing an 82 to tie for 24th in his first round of the season while freshman Aarone Theimie was tied for 33rd with an 83.

At Cyclone Invitational hosted by Centennary College

The Moravian College golf team finished its fall season with a first place finish of nine schools at the Cyclone Invitational hosted by Centennary College. The Greyhounds had a team score 315 at the Panther Valley Golf Club while Cabrini College was second at 320.
Junior Lucas Smith placed second of the 43 golfers with a round of 77 on the par 71 course. Smith was close to being medallist over the last few holes, but Chris Lawler of Cabrini finish with a round of 75. Junior Seth Hartman and sophomore John Dimler were tied for third with rounds of 78 for the Greyhounds while sophomore Scott Stires was tied for ninth with an 82. Freshman Ali Sherbiny rounded out the Moravian golfers with a round of 103, which finished 42nd.

At Blue Jay Classic hosted by Elizabethtown College

The Moravian College golf team finished sixth of 16 teams at the Blue Jay Classic hosted by Elizabethtown College. The Greyhounds had a team score 340 while host Elizabethtown's "A" team won the tournament with 318 at the Hershy Country Club East Courtse.
Sophomore John Dimler, pictured, led Moravian with round of 82 on the par 71 course to finish in a tied for 15th place. The 77-player field battled the wind all round long with the lowest round turned in a 74 and the runner-up at 77. Junior Lucas Smith fired an 85 for the Greyhounds, which was tied for 30th, while sophomore Scott Stires carded an 86 to tie for 34th . Sophomore Sam Stires had a round of 87 on the windy course that tied him for 38th while senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini had a 92, which was tied for 57th, to round out the Moravian competitors.

At 2009-10 Empire 8 Conference Championships Round Two

The Moravian College golf team remained in sixth place after the second round of the four-round 2009-10 Empire 8 Conference Championships with a team score of 635. St. John Fisher, which has won five straight conference titles, is currently in first place with a team score of 603 while Susquehanna University is second at 607 and Nazareth College is third at 616. The Greyhounds, who have a team score of 635, are just two strokes out of fourth place with Elmira College currently fourth at 633 and The University of Scranton fifth at 634.
Moravian is in its first year as an associate member of the Empire 8 Conference, and the first two rounds of the Empire 8 Championships were held during the fall at the Blue Heron Hills Country Club in Macedon, New York. The final two rounds will be played at the Susquehanna Hills Country Club on April 17th and 18th.
Junior Seth Hartman, pictured, is 12th of the 48 golfers with a two-round score of 153 after a second round score of 75 on the par 71 course. Senior Alan Kliewer is currently tied for 16th at 159 after a second round of 79 while junior Lucas Smith is tied for 22nd at 161 with a second round of 76. Senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini fell into a tie for 25th at 162 after a second round total of 82 while sophomore Sam Stires is tied for 33rd at 172 after a second round 83. Sophomore John Dimler is also tied for 33rd at 172 with a second round of 81, improving ten strokes off of his first round score.

The Moravian College golf team opened the four-round 2009-10 Empire 8 Conference Championships with a team score of 324, which placed the Greyhounds sixth of eight teams. Host Moravian College Fall Invitational

The Moravian College golf team began its 2009-10 season with a fourth place finish from its White team and an 11th place finish from its Blue team as the Greyhounds hosted the Moravian College Fall Invitational at the Woodstone Country Club. Franklin & Marshall College won the tournament with a score of 307 while Moravian's White team posted a 314 and the Blue team had a score of 333.
Andrew Woods from Franklin & Marshall had the lowest individual round with an even par score of 72 to lead the 98 golfers in the tournament. Junior Lucas Smith led the Moravian White team with a round of 75, which was tied for fourth, while senior Alan Kliewer, pictured, and junior Seth Hartman each carded rounds of 79 to tie for 17th place. Sophomore John Dimler was tied for 33rd after a season opening round of 81 while senior Nicholas Repko-Moschini rounded out the White team with a score of 86, which was 60th overall.
For the Blue team, sophomore Sam Stires and freshman Ali Sherbiny each fired rounds of 80, which tied them for 24th, while sophomore Scott Stires had an 82 to tie for 37th. Freshman Aaron Thieme rounded out the Greyhound golfers with a round of 91 in his first collegiate action to tie for 71st in the tournament.
