2004 Review

Moravian College completed the 2004 season with a 8-8-1 overall record and a 2-5-0 record in the Commonwealth Conference. The Greyhounds, under the direction of sixth-year head coach Eric Lambinus had three players named to the Commonwealth Conference All-Conference Team. Nick Tarquinio (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant Boro HS) earned First Team honors as a defender and senior midfielder Jim Feimster (East Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mountain HS) and sophomore forward Neil Unternahrer (East Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mountain HS) each earning a spot on the Second Team. Tarquinio was also named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of American/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team as a defender.

Tarquinio led the Hounds with eight goals and two assists for 18 total points. Senior midfielder/forward Ryan Fick (Hamburg, PA/Fleetwood HS) contributed three goals and two assists for eight points along with Unternahrer who had three goals and two assists for eights points.

Senior forward Jonathan Thomas (Port Carbon, PA/Nativity BVM HS) had three goals for six points and Feimster had two goals and two assists for six points. Sophomore midfielder Josh Sheetz (Kutztown, PA/Kutztown HS) added four assists for four points total while senior defender Ryan Wilkins (Hatboro, PA/Hatboro-Horsham HS) and freshman forward Chris Dello Buono (Oakland, NJ/Immaculata HS) each had one goal for two points.

Sophomore Kyle Keller (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh HS), junior Ryan Walker (Metuchen, NJ/Metuchen HS), and junior Ian Andrew Nuno (Middletown, DE/Caravel Academy HS) split time in goal. Keller played 1352:38 minutes with and a 1.13 GAA, 65 saves, and five shutouts. He had a 8-6-1 record in goal. Walker spent 136:40 minutes in goal have a .66 GAA, four saves, and a 0-1 record. Nuno played 64:40 minutes having a 6.96 GAA, five saves and a 0-1 record.

Also contributing to the team were juniors midfielder George Gray (Collegeville, PA/Perkiomen Valley HS), and defender Casey Hoffman (Kempton, PA/Northwestern Lehigh HS), sophomore midfielders Peter Cunha (Milford, NJ/Immaculata HS), and Ken Wilson (Pittsgrove, NJ/Schalick HS), and freshmen Ryan Hess (Harleysville, PA/Souderton HS), Phillip Campano (Schnecksville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), Jeff Meltzer (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough HS), Dale Baumes (Tunkhannock, PA/Tunkhannock HS), John Mikovits (Bath, PA/Northampton HS), Bill Costello (Levittown, PA/Archbishop Ryan HS), Kevin McGrorry (Avon, NJ/Red Bank Catholic HS), and Daniel Scavone (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg North HS).

Moravian had seven student-athletes honored on the 2004 Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Fall Academic Honor Roll including Cunha, Gray, Hoffman, Nuno, Walker, Wilkins, and Wilson.
