Moravian had its postseason chances eliminated in a 3-1 loss to Susquehanna University in a Commonwealth Conference match on the HUB Quad in the regular season finale for both teams. The Crusaders jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute. Susquehanna extended the lead to 2-0 in the 26th minute. The Crusaders scored their final goall in the 33rd minute for a 3-0 lead. The Greyhounds finally got on the scoreboard in the 84th minute when sophomore midfielder Ryan Hess found the back of the net off a pass from senior defender George Gray. Moravian dropped a 4-0 decision to local rival DeSales University in the Greyhounds' final non-conference match of the 2005 season. The contest was played at Emmaus High School under the lights due to field conditions at DeSales' field. The Bulldogs scored the only goal they would need in the 35th minute and led 2-0 at halftime. DeSales added a third goal early in the second half and notched the final goal with just under 12 minutes to play in the contest. The Greyhounds suffered a 5-0 lost to Elizabethtown College in a make-up Commonwealth Conference match on the HUB Quad. The loss eliminates any chance Moravian had at the postseason. The Blue Jays scored the only goal they would need just 39 seconds before the intermission for a 1-0 halftime lead. Elizabethtown added four second half goals and held a 22-4 advantage in shots along with an 11-3 edge in corner kicks. Moravian senior goalie Ryan Walker had four saves in the match.

Moravian celebrated Homecoming with a 3-1 victory over the University of Scranton in a non-conference match on the rain-soaked HUB Quad. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute when sophomore forward Chris Dello Buono scored his fourth goal of the season off a pass by freshman forward Louis Dollarton, the first of three Moravian goals in a seven minute span. Sophomore midfielder Phillip Campano gave Moravian a 2-0 lead in the 31st minute with an unassisted goal, his first of the season. Dollarton would score his seventh goal of the year off a Dello Buono pass in the 34th minute for a 3-0 Greyhound lead. Scranton’s lone goal came in the 47th minute. Moravian had an 11-7 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Greyhound senior goalie Ryan Walker had two saves in the victory.

The Flying Dutchmen scored the only two goals they needed in the first 6:05 of the match and would lead 4-0 at halftime. Lebanon Valley added another goal in the 62nd minute for a 5-0 lead. Moravian's only goal of the contest was scored in the 65th minute when freshman midfielder Adam Williamson netted his first collegiate goal. Moravian dropped a 6-1 decision to top-ranked Messiah College in Commonwealth Conference action. The Greyhounds fell behind 4-0 and trailed 6-0 before scoring late in the match. The Falcons, ranked first in the country in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 Poll, jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute. Messiah added goals in the 10th, 21st and 32nd minutes in the first half. The Falcons also found the back of the net in the 65th and 84th minutes. Moravian's lone goal was scored by freshman midfielder Peter DiComenico, his first collegiate goal, off an assist by senior defender Casey Hoffman in the 89th minute. Messiah had a 27-2 advantage in shots and an 8-1 edge in corner kicks. The Greyhounds came from behind to tie the match in the 87th minute and force overtime in a 2-2, double-overtime tie with Alvernia College in non-conference action on the HUB Quad. Moravian had taken a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute when junior forward Brian Tarulli found the back of the net for his third goal of the season off a loose ball following a centering pass by freshman forward Louis Dollarton. Alvernia would tie the match in the 62nd minute before taking the lead in the 79th minute. The Greyhounds tied the match with 3:42 left in regulation when sophomore forward Chris Dello Buono headed in a crossing pass from sophomore midfielder Kevin McGrorry for his third tally of the season. Moravian would tie the match in the 35th minute when senior forward Ryan Hintenach scored his second goal of the season off an assist by junior forward Neil Unternahrer. The Greyhounds took the lead in the 38th minute when freshman midfielder Ruben Concepcion found the back of the net for his fifth goal of the year off an assist by freshman forward Louis Dollarton. Moravian added an insurance goal in the 76th minute when Hinetenach and Unternahrer hooked up for another goal; Hintenach’s second of the match and third of the year. The Greyhounds snapped a six-match winless streak with a 4-0 shutout of Widener University in Commonwealth Conference action on the HUB Quad. Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute when sophomore midfielder Ryan Hess found the back of the net off an assist from senior defender George Gray. The Greyhounds extended the lead to 2-0 just seven seconds before the intermission when Hess tallied his second goal of the match and team leading seventh of the season. Moravian made the lead 3-0 in the 48th minute when sophomore forward Chris Dello Buono scored his second goal of the season with an assist by freshman forward Louis Dollarton. Widener would have a player red-carded just two minute later, giving the Greyhounds a man advantage, however, Dollarton and a Moravian coach would be red-carded in the 60th minute, making the final 30 minute ten-on-ten. Dollarton actually received his second yellow card of the game which becomes an automatic red card. Moravian used four second half goals to defeat Centenary (NJ) College, 6-3, in the consolation match of the Drew University Fall Festival in Madison, New Jersey. Freshman forward Louis Dollarton scored his third goal of the season in the ninth minute off a pass from sophomore midfielder Ryan Hess to give the Greyhounds a 1-0 lead. The Cyclones scored twice to take a 2-1 lead but Dollarton added his second goal of the match in the 41st minute off an assist by freshman midfielder Ruben Concepcion to tie the contest at 2-2 at the intermission. After the break, Hess headed in a cross from junior forward Neil Untenahrer in the 58th minute. Dollarton added a third goal for his first career hat trick on a pass from Hess in the 71st minute. Junior midfielder Brian Tarulli scored his first goal of the season for the Greyhounds in the 78th minute off a pass from freshman midfielder Adam Williamson. Tarulli added a second goal in the 82nd minute with an assist by sophomore midfielder Phillip Campano to finish off the scoring for Moravian. Centenary would add a goal in the 89th minute to finish off the scoring. The Greyhounds had a 13-9 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. Vs. Lincoln (PA) University – Won 7-0    Box Score

Moravian began its 2005 season with a 7-0 shutout of Lincoln (PA) University in a non-conference match on the HUB Quad Thursday afternoon. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half. Freshman forward Louis Dollarton started the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 25th minute. Sophomore midfielder Ryan Hess found the back of the net a minute and a half later for a 2-0 lead. Freshman midfielder Ruben Concepcion tallied his first collegiate goal off an assist by sophomore midfielder Phillip Campano in the 37th minute to finish of the scoring. The goal was the first of four in the match for Concepcion. He is the first Moravian player to score more than three goals in a match since Robert Fox scored a school-record six goals in a match versus Lycoming College in 1963. Concepcion's four goals are the third most in a single match in Moravian history following Fox's six-goal match and a five-goal match by Fox, also during the 1963 season. Concepcion would start the scoring in the second half with an unassisted goal in the 50th minute. Hess would tally his second goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute. Concepcion finished off the scoring off a pass from Campano in the 58th minutes and with an unassisted goal in the 79th minute. Moravian had an 18-9 advantage in shots as well as a 7-3 edge in corner kicks. Moravian senior goalie Ryan Walker made two saves in the shutout, the second of his career and first since the 2003 season. Lincoln junior goalie Kyle Wanamaker had eight saves for the Lions.
