The Greyhounds won their final match of the 2006 season, defeating Susquehanna University, 2-0, in Commonwealth Conference action. The victory snapped a four-match winless streak for the Greyhounds. Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute when junior midfielder Ryan Hess netted his team leading fifth goal of the season off a pass from sophomore forward Louis Dollarton. Freshman midfielder Michael Tarulli extended the Greyhounds lead to 20- in the 59th minute with an unassisted goal, his second goal of the year. Susquehanna had a 21-9 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. Moravian sophomore goalie Chris Nederostek had five saves for his third shutout of the season while Austin Kelsey made two saves for the Crusaders.

Moravian dropped its final home and non-conference match of the season, falling to local rival DeSales University, 2-0, on the HUB Quad. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute when Kyle Moore found a loose ball in the box after a corner kick and put it in the back of the net for his first goal of the season. DeSales extended the lead to 2-0 in the 77th minute when Daniel Jones scored his third goal of the year off of a crossing pass by Moore. Moravian had a 19-9 advantage in shots in the match while DeSales had a 6-4 edge in corner kicks. Greyhound sophomore goalie Chris Nederostek made two saves in the contest while Rusty Reidmiller had three saves for the Bulldogs. Moravian was shut out by Lebanon Valley College, 3-0, in a Commonwealth Conference match on the HUB Quad. The Flying Dutchmen took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute when Joe Kopchick stole the ball from a Greyhound defender and and passes it off to Travis Steedle, who fired the ball into the net. Shortly after the second half began, Steedle stole a ball and scored to give Lebanon Valley a 2-0 lead in the 47th minute. The Flying Dutchmen finished off the scoring in the 75th minute when Zach Barkas took a pass from Adam Myers and put it in the back of the net. Both teams had 12 shots in the match with Moravian holding a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. Greyhound sophomore Chris Nederostek had three saves in just over 83 minutes of action while junior Michael Peck had one save in the final seven minutes. The Greyhounds dropped a 6-0 Commonwealth Conference decision to two-time defending NCAA Division III National Champion and second ranked Messiah College on the HUB Quad. Messiah took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute when Patrick Lenehan put in a crossing pass from Andre Burckhart. Lenehan would score again in the 30th minute to give the Falcons a 2-0 halftime lead. Moravian posted its second straight win with a come-from-behind, 5-4 victory at Lincoln (PA) University in non-conference action. Lincoln took a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute when Chimonso Nwachuku scored an unassisted goal. The Greyhounds tied the match in the 26th minute when junior midfielder Ryan Hess connected on his third penalty kick of the season. Hess would miss a penalty kick later in the match. Moravian took a 2-1 lead in the 29th minute when senior midfielder Brian Tarulli found the back of the net for his second goal of the season off of a pass by senior midfielder Neil Unternarher. The Greyhounds extended their lead to 3-1 in the 38th minute when freshman defender Blake Ritchey scored off an assist by Tarulli for his third goal of the year. Shortly after the second half started, Lincoln would score three goals in a span of three minutes to take a 4-3 lead. Kamah Duwana scored in the 53rd minute and Peter Jarbo found the back of the net in the 55th minute to tie the contest. Both goals were assisted by Theon Francis. Lincoln would get the lead in the 56th minute when the Greyhounds put a rebound in their own net for an own goal. However, Moravian would tie the match in the 70th minute when sophomore forward Louis Dollarton scored an unassisted goal. Dollarton gave the Greyhounds the lead again in the 79th minute when he headed home a pass from junior defender Daniel Scavone that was set up by Hess. The Greyhounds won their second straight Commonwealth Conference match with a 1-0 shutout victory at Elizabethtown College. Freshman midfielder Michael Tarulli scored his first career goal in the 78th minute off assists from junior midfielder Kevin McGrorry and junior midfielder Phillip Campano, just seven seconds after the only card, a yellow to the Blue Jays, was issued. Elizabethtown out-shot Moravian 24-2, and the Blue Jays had an 8-4 edge in corner kicks. Moravian sophomore goalie Chris Nederostek registered eight saves for his first career shutout while AJ Fleisher had one save for Elizabethtown.

Freshman defender Blake Ritchey scored with just 12:50 left in the game to break a 1-1 tie and lead Moravian to an eventual 2-1 victory over Juniata College in a Commonwealth Conference game at the HUB Quad. The Greyhounds, coming off of four straight losses, took an early lead in the 14th minute when sophomore forward Louis Dollarton took a crossing pass from senior midfielder Brian Tarulli and scored. The Eagles struck back 18 minutes later with a goal on a free kick by Bryan Hess. The game remained scoreless until Ritchey caught a little help from junior Kevin McGrorry for the winning goal in the 78th minute. Moravian out-shot Juniata 13-9 an also held a 6-4 advantage in corner shots. Sophomore goalie Chris Nederostek recorded two saves for the Greyhounds, while Mark Guthridege of Juniata had four.

The Greyhounds scored the only goal they would need in the 31st minute when senior midfielder Brian Tarulli put home a crossing pass from senior midfielder Neil Unternahrer. Moravian extended its lead to 2-0 in the 59th minute when junior midfielder Ryan Hess connected on a penalty kick after a hand ball in the box by the Aggies. The penalty kick was Hess's second of the season. The Greyhounds finished off the scoring in the 82nd minute when freshman defender Blake Ritchey scored his first collegiate goal with a sliding header off a corner kick by Unterahrer. Late in the match, Delaware Valley had a chance to score of a corner kick of its own but Moravian junior goalie Michael Peck, making his first collegiate start in his first year as a member of the Greyhounds, stopped one shot, and Blake stopped another to preserve the shutout. Moravian had an 18-4 advantage in shots and a 12-2 edge in corner kicks. Peck had one save and the team had one in Peck's first collegiate shutout. The Greyhounds scored with just over a minute remaining in regulation to force overtime in a 1-1, double overtime tie with Roanoke (VA) College on the second day of the Stevens Institute of Technology College Classic. The Maroons jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute on an unassisted goal by Kayvan Sarmadi. Moravian would eventually tie the match with just 1:07 remaining on the clock when junior midfielder Ryan Hess found the corner of the net off a pass from freshman defender Blake Ritchey. Neither team was able to score in the two ten-minute extra sessions. Roanoke had a 28-7 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks. The Maroons registered the only four shots in the overtime periods. The Moravian College men's soccer team opened the 2006 season with a 3-2 overtime loss to nationally-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology in the opening day of the Stevens Institute of Technology College Classic. After a scoreless first half, the Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute when the Ducks put the ball in their own net giving Moravian a lead on an own goal. Stevens Institute, which was ranked 13th in the nation in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Preseason Top 25 poll and eighth in the D3kicks.com Preseason Top 25, would tie the match in the 65th minute when George Gkionis ripped a shot into the corner of the net off a pass from Chris McGreevy. The Greyhounds would retake the lead in the 83rd minute when sophomore forward Louis Dollarton took a pass from junior midfielder Ryan Hess and beat the goalie while he was out of the net. The Ducks tied the match again in the 87th minute on an unassisted goal by Nick Gkionis on a free kick from the top of the 18-yard box. Stevens Tech would win the game in the 99th minute when Nick Gkionis scored again when he redirected a free kick by Craig Moquin.
