2006 Review

The Moravian College men’s soccer completed the 2006 season with a 5-12-2 overall record and a 2-5-0 record in the Commonwealth Conference. The Greyhounds are under the direction of eighth-year head coach Eric Lambinus.

Leading the Greyhound in goals was junior midfielder Ryan Hess (Harleysville, PA/Souderton HS) with five goals. He also added three assists this season for a total of 13 points. Sophomore forward Louis Dollarton (Barrington, NJ/Haddon Heights HS) contributed four goals for a total of eight points this season.

Senior midfielder Brian Tarulli (Bear Creek, PA/James Coughlin HS) had six points on two goals and two assists while freshman defender Blake Ritchey (Harleysville, PA/Souderton HS) had three goals and two assists for a total of eight points in his debut season.

Junior forward Chris Dello Buono (Oakland, NJ/Immaculata HS) and freshman midfielder Michael Tarulli (Bear Creek, PA/James Coughlin HS) each had two goals for a total of four points on the year. Senior midfielder Neil Unternahrer (East Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mountain HS) contributed three assists for the Greyhounds as well.

Sophomore midfilder Ruben Concepcion (Blenheim, NJ/Triton Regional HS) had one goal while junior midfielder Kevin McGrorry (Avon, NJ/Red Bank Catholic HS) had two assists. Junior midfielder Phillip Campano (Schnecksville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) and junior defender Daniel Scavone (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg North HS) each contributed one assist.

Sophomore Chris Nederostek (Lansdale, PA/Christopher Dock HS) and first-year player/junior Michael Peck (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth HS) split time in the net. Nederostek spent 1,594 minutes in goal has a 2.20 GAA, 107 saves, and a 4-12-2 record. Peck played 174 minutes in goal with a 1.03 GAA, four saves, and a 1-0-0 record.

Also contributing to the team were senior defenders Ken Wilson (Pittsgrove, NJ/Schalick HS) and Peter Cunha (Milford, NJ/Immaculata HS); junior defenders Dale Baumes (Tunkhannock, PA/Tunkhannock HS) and John Mikovits (Bath, PA/Northampton HS) and freshmen midfielder/forward Nicholas Fatula (Folsom, PA/The Shipley School), midfielder/forward Kyle Jablon (Blairstown, NJ/North Warren HS), defender Gary Grimes (Howell, NJ/Christian Borthers Academy), defender Ryan Williams (Forty Fort, PA/Bishop O'Reilly HS), midfielder Eric Yanders (Macungie, PA/Emmaus HS), defender Alexander Kulp (Wyncote, PA/Roman Catholic HS), midfielder Matthew DeJesus (Westfield, NJ/Westfield HS) and midfielder Daniel Todd (Perkiomenville, PA/Perkiomen Valley HS).

Cunha, B. Tarulli, Scavone, and Todd were named to the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Fall Academic Honor Roll. Cunha also earned a spot on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team this season.
