At Drew University Lost 3-0 - Box Score
Greg Zizik scored a goal and an assist to lead the Drew University men’s soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Moravian College in the regular season finale Saturday afternoon.
Anthony Pisani would give the Rangers all of the offense they needed in the sixth minute when he netted an unassisted goal. Zizik would score in the 56th minute off of a pass from Vincent Costa while Shahryar Shroff added a goal set up by Zizik in the 62nd minute.
Drew had a 24-2 advantage in shots in the match and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. Moravian senior goalie Chris Nederostek had nine saves in his final collegiate match while Jeff Rogers stopped the only two shots he saw for the Rangers.

Moravian's final home and non-conference match of the year versus local rival DeSales University, originally scheduled for Thursday, October 28th, has been cancelled due to the Bulldogs needing to make up a Freedom Conference match that was postponed on October 26th due to weather. The Moravian versus DeSales match will not be rescheduled this season.

Freshman forward Taylor Molinaro netted the only goal of the match 1:56 into overtime to give the Moravian College men’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over The Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference action on the HUB Quad. The victory is the first for the Greyhounds in Landmark Conference action this fall.
Molinaro’s goal, his sixth of the season, was set up by a header from freshman midfielder Mark Casagrande just after the Greyhounds only corner kick of overtime. The match was delayed 20 minutes from the end of regulation to the start of overtime due to lightning in the area.
Catholic had a 19-5 advantage in shots and a 19-5 edge in corner kicks in the match. Greyhound senior goalie Chris Nederostek made eight saves and Moravian had one team save while sophomore Quinn Daly had two saves for the Cardinals.

Junior forward Ray Straccia headed in a loose ball in the 32nd minute for the only goal of the match, leading The University of Scranton to a 1-0 Landmark Conference win over Moravian on the HUB Quad.
Straccia’s goal, his fifth of the season, broke the scoreless tie and came just after a yellow card on the Greyhounds. Junior midfielder Sebastian Akerman started the play with a free kick off of the crossbar. The victory also clinches Scranton a berth in the 2008 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins on November 5th.
The Royals had a 15-10 advantage in shots and 7-4 edge in corner kicks. Scranton sophomore goalie Brandon Dombrowski needed to make just one save for his fourth shutout of the season. Freshman defender Mike Dobbins netted his second goal of the season to help Moravian play to a 2-2, double-overtime draw with Susquehanna University in Landmark Conference action on the HUB Quad. The match took nearly three hours to play after a 30-minute delay with just over a minute remaining in regulation when a Susquehanna player was injured on a bicycle kick attempt by one of his teammates.
The Crusaders would score first in the match; needing just 25 seconds to get on the scoreboard with sophomore forward Rhyan Nelson netting his seventh goal of the season off of a pass from senior defender Matt Campbell.
The Greyhounds tied the contest in the ninth minute when senior forward Louis Dollarton scored off of a one-touch pass from freshman forward Taylor Molinaro after a long punt by senior goalie Chris Nederostek. The goal was Dollarton’s fifth of the season.
Susquehanna would retake a one-goal lead in the 50th minute when sophomore midfielder Jim Robertiello scored off of a pass for Nelson ten yards out.
Dobbins tied the match with his second goal of the week when he scored on a free kick in the 79th minute.

Moravian snapped a two-match losing streak with a 5-0 non-conference win at Penn State University-Abington.
The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute when the Lions ended up putting the ball in their own net on a clearing attempt. Moravian extedned its lead to 2-0 in the 32nd minute when freshman midfielder Mark Casagrande scored his first colelgiate goal off of a pass from senior midfielder Ruben Concepcion.
Concepcion gave the Greyhounds a 3-0 lead in the 51st minute with his first goal of the season off of an assist by senior forward Louis Dollarton. Freshman defender Mike Dobbins would get his first goal of the year in the 70th minute off of lead pass from sophomore midfielder Matthew Levine. Dollarton finished off the scoring in the 73rd minute with his fourth goal of the season set up by sophomore defender Brian Hunscher.
Moravian had a 15-7 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks in the contest. The Greyhounds used three goalies in the shutout with senior Chris Nederostek earning the victoty with three saves in 60 minutes of action. Goucher tied the match in the 65th minute when Elijah Lais scored off of an assist from Andrew Bull. Almost exactly five minutes later, Brody scored the game-winner off of a pass from Galen Guindon.

Senior forward Cameron Audette netted a goal with just 27 seconds remaining in the second overtime to lift King’s College to a 2-1, non-conference win over Moravian College on the HUB Quad .
The Monarchs had taken a 1-0 lead in the 71st minute when freshman forward Joe Bender made an eight-yard shot on a failed clearing attempt by the Greyhounds.
Moravian, which saw its two-match winning streak snapped, would tie the match with just 11.2 seconds remaining in regulation when junior defender Gary Grimes drilled in a loose ball from just outside the goal line on a centering pass from junior midfielder Michael Tarulli.
Audette jumped on a missed pass by the Greyhounds in the 110th minute and chipped the ball off the hands of Moravian senior goalie Chris Nederostek and inside the left post for the game-winning goal, Audette’s 14th goal of the season. Audette had a chance to put King’s on the scoreboard first in the 14th minute of the match when he was awarded a penalty kick. However, Nederostek stopped Audette’s shot towards the right side of the goal, and Audette’s second shot sailed over the cross bar.
Moravian had a14-11 advantage in shots in the match including 4-0 in the first overtime that saw Grimes nearly win the match with a shot that just went over the crossbar. The win snapped a four-match losing streak for the Greyhounds. Moravian took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute when junior defender Gary Grimes scored his first goal of the season off of a pass from junior midfielder Michael Tarulli. The Greyhounds would extend their lead to 2-0 in the 38th minute when Dollarton netted his first goal of the year when he headed in a pass from sophomore midfielder Matthew Levine.
The Fords would control the second half of the match to force the extra time. Haverford pulled within 2-1 in the 67th minute when Matt Wethrell scored on a pass from Brian Pepe-Mooney. The Sea Gulls would get all of the offense they would need just 53 seconds into the match when Alex Hargrove scored an unassisted goal. Mike Napolitano scored off a pass from Scott Sparrow in the ninth minute while Kyle Sterling had an unassisted goal in the 28th minute. Ben DeLisle headed in a goal off of a free kick by Sam Flax in the 41st minute to give Salisbury a 4-0 halftime lead. Greg Taylor scored an unassisted tally in the 74th minute to finish off the scoring.
Salisbury had a 33-4 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute when freshman forward Taylor Molinaro netted an unassisted goal for this second goal of the season. Moravian would extend its lead to 2-0 in the 24th minute when the Lynchburg defense put the ball in its own net.
The Hornets got on the scoreboard in the 48th minute when Cam Smith netted an unassisted goal, and Lynchburg tied the contest in the 57th minute when Josh Reed put a direct kick from just outside the 18-yard box in the net for a Hornet goal. Lynchburg’s winning goal came in the 84th minute and was an own goal by Moravian as the Greyhound defense cleared the ball into its own net.
