2007 Review

The Moravian College softball team finished its 2007 season in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament for the tenth consecutive year, falling to Emory (GA) University in the fifth game of the 2007 NCAA World Series. This was the second time in four years the Greyhounds made it to the World Series. The Greyhounds also won the Commonwealth Conference Tournament for the seventh straight year and the Commonwealth Conference Championship for the eighth consecutive season.

The Greyhounds under the direction of 14-year head coach John Byrne, who as a career mark of 442-141, posted a 35-7 overall record in 2007, the 14th consecutive season that Moravian has won at least 23 games, and a 13-1 mark in Commonwealth Conference action. Moravian, which is 25-20 in NCAA games since 1998, made the regional championship game for the fifth straight season, winning its second regional title.
