At 2006 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships hosted by Benedictine University – Second Day Results           Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds had two competitors run in the preliminary heats of the 110-meter high hurdles on the second day of the 2006 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships being hosted Benedictine University. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey placed fourth in the first heat and 12th of 16 total competitors with a time of 14.98 seconds while sophomore Ozzie Brown was fifth in the third heat and 14th overall in a time of 15.20 seconds. Neither Tussey nor Brown advanced to Saturday's finals as the top nine runners advanced to Saturday's final.

At 2006 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships hosted by Benedictine University – First Day Results           Moravian Individual Results

Moravian had two competitors run in preliminary races on the first day of the 2006 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships being hosted Benedictine University. Sophomore Ozzie Brown placed fourth in the third heat of the 200-meter dash and 14th of 16 competitors in the event with a time of 21.97 seconds. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey competed in the 400-meter hurdles and placed sixth in the third heat and 17th overall in a time of 59.63 seconds. Neither Brown nor Tussey advanced to Saturday's finals.

At NYC Qualifying Challenge - Last Chance Meet – No Team Scores           Moravian Individual Results      

The Greyhounds had three competitors at the NYC Qualifying Challenge - Last Chance Meet hosted by the NYC Armory Track Association at Icahn Stadium. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey placed second in the 400-meter hurdles in a school record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 53.73 seconds. Sophomore Nathaniel Dutile finished third in the discus throw with a toss of 44.05 meters (144 feet, six inches), and he was fourth in the shot put at 15.02 meters (49 feet, 3 1/2 inches).

At 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Widener University – 3rd of 9            Moravian Individual Results       Moravian Relay Results

Moravian finished third at the 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Widener University with a team score of 142 points, just 1.5 points behind runner-up Susquehanna University. The host Pioneers won the meet with a score of 175.5. The Greyhounds had four individual and one relay team win titles on the final day of the meet. Sophomore Ozzie Brown captured the 200-meter dash in a school record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 21.53 seconds, and he also won the long jump with a leap of 6.96 meters (22 feet, ten inches). Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey placed first in the 110-meter high hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 14.58 seconds, and he won the 400-meter hurdles in 54.31 seconds.

Brown was part of Moravian's 4x100-meter relay team with junior Josh Kline, sophomore James Bell and freshman Robert Shaffer that placed first in a time of 42.05 seconds. Brown also placed second in the 110-meter high hurdles in 14.93 seconds, and he was third in the 100-meter dash at 11.02 seconds. Brown, Tussey and Kline also ran on the 4x400-meter relay team with freshman Timothy Murphy and placed fourth in 3:24.49. Kline placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.61 seconds while Shaffer was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 11.03 seconds and sixth in the 200-meter dash at 22.29 seconds. Bell had a sixth place showing in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.28 seconds while freshman Jeff Berland finished eighth in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.09 seconds. Senior Greg Rarick placed 12th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:12.35.

In field results from the final day of the 2006 MAC Championships, senior Michael El Kazzaz placed third in the pole vault clearing a height of 4.25 meters (13 feet, 11 1/4 inches) while sophomore Allan Fatzinger was fifth at 4.10 meters (13 feet, 5 1/4 inches) and freshman Alan Woods was eighth at 3.95 meters (12 feet, 11 1/2 inches). In the hammer throw, junior Steve Kondorossy was eighth at 38.19 meters (125 feet, three inches), sophomore Robert Bernadyn finished ninth with a toss of 37.72 meters (123 feet, nine inches), sophomore John Wagner placed 17th at 33.76 meters (110 feet, nine inches) and freshman Blair Maginnis was 21st with a distance of 31.33 meters (102 feet, nine inches). In the javelin throw, junior Michael Ossont placed 11th with a toss of 48.74 meters (159 feet, 11 inches), freshman Justin Starcher finished 13th at 47.27 meters (155 feet, one inch), freshman John Muhlen took 14th with a distance of 47.21 meters (154 feet, 11 inches) and Berland placed 15th with a toss of 46.15 meters (151 feet, five inches).

At 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Widener University – 3rd of 9 (Second Day Results)       

The Greyhounds are in third place with a team total of 46 points after the second day of the 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships being hosted by Widener University. Susquehanna University is in first place with 61.83 points while the host Pioneers are second with 61.5 points. Moravian had two individual champions on the second day of the meet with sophomore Ozzie Brown winning the high jump, clearing 1.98 meters (six feet, six inches) and sophomore Nathaniel Dutile capturing the shot put with a toss of 14.58 meters (47 feet, ten inches). Dutile also placed second in the discus throw with a distance of 45.00 meters (147 feet, eight inches).

Freshman Blair Maginnis was the runner-up to Dutile in the shot put with a toss of 14.06 meters (46 feet, 1 1/2 inches) while freshman Jeff Berland earned a third place finish in the decathlon with an overall point total of 5,105 with 2,354 on the decathlon's second day. Senior Robert Kilmurray placed sixth in the discus at 39.51 meters (129 feet, seven inches) while junior Steve Kondorossy was eighth at 34.48 meters (113 feet, one inch) to earn a point for Moravian.

In preliminary events on the second day of the meet, sophomore Nathaniel Tussey placed first in both the 110-meter high hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles in NCAA Division III provisional qualifying times to move into the finals. Tussey posted a time of 14.85 seconds in the 110-meter high hurdles and a school record time of 53.90 in the 400-meter hurdles. Brown qualified for the finals in three events. He was first in the 200-meter dash in an NCAA Division III qualifying time of 21.77 seconds, and Brown was second in the 100-meter dash in 10.99 seconds and second in the 110-meter high hurdles in 15.01 seconds.

Berland also advanced to the finals in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.82 seconds while freshman Robert Shaffer was fifth in the 100-meter dash in 11.08 seconds and sophomore James Bell was seventh in 11.23 seconds to advance to the championship race. In the 200-meter dash, Shaffer was eighth in 22.39 seconds to move to the finals while junior Josh Kline was ninth in 22.59 seconds and Bell finished 11th at 22.67 seconds, both failing to move on. Kline did move to the finals in the 400-meter dash, placing fifth in the preliminary in 50.14 seconds. Freshman Timothy Murphy was 18th in the qualifying for the 800-meter run final with a time of 2:02.82.

At 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Widener University – First Day Results       

Moravian had a pair of competitors on the first day of the three-day 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships being hosted by Widener University. Freshman Jeff Berland was in third place after the first day of the decathlon, scoring 2,751 points in the first five events. Berland was third in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.77 seconds to score 697 points and he placed second of the 12 competitors in the shot put with a toss of 10.64 meters (34 feet, 11 inches) to earn 524 points. Berland was fifth in the long jump at 5.46 meters (17 feet, 11 inches) for 473 points and he was sixth in the 400-meter dash in 56.57 seconds for 537 points. Berland was also sixth in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.67 meters (five feet, 5 3/4 inches) to earn 520 points. The Greyhounds only other first day participant was senior William Shimer placing 17th in the 10,000-meter run in a time of 35:05.30.

At Lehigh University Games – 7th of 8       Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds placed seventh of eight teams at the 2006 Lehigh University games with a team score of 31 points. The host Mountain Hawks were first with 152.5 points. The meet was Moravian's final tune-up before the conference championship meet. Moravian had a pair of third place finishes with senior Michael El Kazzaz taking third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.35 meters (14 feet, 3 1/4 inches) and junior Michael Ossont finishing third in the javelin throw with a toss of 50,88 meters (166 feet, 11 1/2 inches).

Freshman John Muhlen was seventh in the javelin at 46.08 meters (151 feet, 2 1/2 inches) while freshman Justin Starcher placed eighth at 45.27 meters (148 feet, 6 1/2 inches). In the pole vault, sophomore Allan Fatzinger was 12th, clearing a height of 3.90 meters (12 feet, 9 1/2 inches). Senior Robert Kilmurray placed fifth in the discus throw with a toss of 41.43 meters (135 feet, 11 1/4 inches) while sophomore Nathaniel Dutile was sixth at 40.92 meters (134 feet, 3 1/4 inches), junior Steve Kondorossy placed tenth at 39.20 meters (128 feet, 7 1/2 inches) and freshman Jeff Berland took 14th at 31.73 meters (104 feet, 1 1/2 inches). In the hammer throw, junior Patrick Callahan was sixth at 39.54 meters (129 feet, nine inches) while Kondorossy placed eighth at 38.89 meters (127 feet, 7 1/4 inches), sophomore John Wagner took 11th with a toss of 34.75 meters (114 feet, 1/2 inch) and freshman Blair Maginnis finished 12th at 29.81 meters (97 feet, ten inches). Maginnis did place seventh in the shot put with a toss of 13.00 meters (42 feet, eight inches).

In track events, Berland had the Greyhounds top finish with a sixth place finish in the 110-meter high hurdles in 15.64 seconds. Freshman Jared Henrie placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:00.51 while freshman Stephen Mulchay was ninth at 1:03.42. Sophomore Vince Pagano placed ninth in the 200-meter dash in 24.93 seconds, and he took 13th place in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.10 seconds. Sophomore Timothy Murphy was 11th in the 800-meter run in 2:00.24 while senior Greg Rarick finished 11th in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:12.15.

At 23rd Annual Lions Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey – No Team Scores       Moravian Individual Results

Moravian sent two competitors to the 23rd Annual Lions Invitational hosted by the College of New Jersey. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey won the 110-meter high hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 14.55 seconds, his best time of the season and a new Moravian record. Sophomore Ozzie Brown was fourth in the race in 14.96 seconds, and Brown also placed third in the long jump with a leap of 6.59 meters (21 feet, 7 1/2 inches).

At 112th Penn Relays – No Team Scores       Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds had two competitors at the 112th Penn Relays Carnival. Sophomore Nathaniel Dutile placed 27th of 30 competitors in the college men shot put Eastern event with a toss of 14.26 meters (46 feet, 9 1/2 inches). Senior Michael El Kazzaz participated in the college men pole vault Eastern event but failed to clear a height cleanly.

At Lafayette Leopard Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania – No Team Scores       Moravian Individual Results       Moravian Relay Results

Moravian had three individual champions and a relay team finish first at the Lafayette College Leopard Invitational hosted at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania due to construction at Lafayette. Sophomore Ozzie Brown captured first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.24 seconds, and he was first in the long jump with a leap of 6.76 meters (22 feet, 2 1/4 inches). Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey won the 110-meter high hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 14.69 seconds. Brown and Tussey were also on the 4x100-meter relay team with freshman Robert Shaffer and junior Josh Kline that placed first in a time of 42.63 seconds.

Tussey was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 55.11 seconds while Brown placed third in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.21 seconds. Kline finished third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.49 seconds while Shaffer was ninth in the 400-meter dash in 54.54 seconds. Freshman Jeff Berland also ran in the 400-meter dash, placing 13th in 57.29 seconds while freshman Jared Henrie was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.94.

In the distance events, sophomore Timothy Pagano placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 9:12.59 while freshman Timothy Murphy was 11th in the 800-meter run in 2:01.87. In throwing events, freshman Blair Maginnis was fourth in the shot put with a toss of 13.57 meters (44 feet, 6 1/4 inches) while Berland placed 11th at 9.82 meters (32 feet, 2 3/4 inches). Freshman John Muhlen was tenth in the javelin at 43.04 meters (141 feet, 2 3/4 inches).

On Friday at Lafayette, junior Patrick Callahan placed eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 39.84 meters (130 feet, 8 3/4 inches) while junior Steve Kondorossy finished tenth with a distance of 38.00 meters (124 feet, 8 1/4 inches). Sophomore John Wagner took 11th in the event with a toss of 37.63 meters (123 feet, 5 3/4 inches) while Maginnis was 13th at 33.99 meters (111 feet, 6 1/2 inches).

At Lafayette Leopard Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania – Postponed until April 23rd

Moravian's trip to the Lafayette College Leopard Invitational, being hosted in conjunction with the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania Invitational due to construction at Lafayette, has been postponed one day until Sunday, April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. due to weather conditions.

At Grizzly Invitational hosted by Ursinus College – 1st of 13       Moravian Individual Results       Moravian Relay Results

The Greyhounds won the Grizzly Invitational hosted by Ursinus College with a score of 161 to place first of the 13 schools at the meet. The host Bears were second with 118 points. Moravian also had six individual champions and two relay teams capture first place finishes. Sophomore Nathaniel Dutile was a two-time winner for the Greyhounds, capturing the shot put with a toss of 14.32 meters (46 feet, 11 3/4 inches) and the discus throw with a distance of 43.72 meters (143 feet, 5 1/2 inches). Junior Josh Kline won the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.42 seconds while sophomore Nathaniel Tussey won the 110-meter high hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 14.67 seconds. Sophomore Ozzie Brown captured the 400-meter hurdles in 55.54 seconds, and Brown was second in the 110-meter high hurdles at 14.76 seconds, which is an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time. Senior Michael El Kazzaz won the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.25 meters (13 feet, 11 1/4 inches). The Greyhounds 4x100-meter relay squad of Brown, Kline, sophomore James Bell and freshman Robert Shaffer was first in a time of 42.48 seconds while the 4x400-meter relay team of Kline, Brown, Tussey and freshman Timothy Murphy won its race with a time of 3:27.47.

Tussey placed second in the 200-meter dash in 22.54 seconds while Shaffer placed fifth in 22.69 seconds. Bell was tenth in the race in 22.94 seconds while freshman Jeff Berland took 23rd in 24.55 seconds. Shaffer paced the Greyhounds in the 100-meter dash in 11.26 seconds, which placed him fourth, while Bell was eighth at 11.44 seconds and El Kazzaz was 17th in 12.13 seconds. Berland also ran in the 110-meter high hurdles, placing fifth in 16.02 seconds while freshman Stephen Mulchay was ninth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.17.

In the distance races, senior Greg Rarick placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:11.74 while Murphy was fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:00.32. Freshman John McCullough also ran in the 800 meters and placed 29th in 2:15.13. Sophomore Timothy Pagano placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 16:09.81 while senior William Shimer took seventh in 16:37.28.

In other field events, Brown placed second in the long jump with a leap of 6.89 meters (22 feet, 7 1/4 inches). Freshman Alan Woods placed third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.10 meters (13 feet, 5 1/4 inches) while sophomore Allan Fatzinger took fifth at 3.80 meters (12 feet, 5 1/2 inches). Freshman Blair Maginnis took fourth in the shot put with a toss of 13.12 meters (43 feet, 1/2 inch) while senior Robert Kilmurray was fourth in the discus with a distance of 38.53 meters (126 feet, 5 1/4 inches). Berland was 17th in the discus with a toss of 25.42 meters (83 feet, five inches). In the javelin throw, junior Michael Ossont placed third at 51.21 meters (168 feet, 1/2 inch) while Berland was seventh with a toss of 46.58 meters (152 feet, 10 1/4 inches). Freshman Justin Starcher placed eighth in the event with a throw of 45.54 meters (149 feet, 5 1/4 inches) while freshman John Muhlen was ninth at 44.22 meters (145 feet, 1 1/4 inches). Woods was tenth in the javelin with a toss of 43.50 meters (142 feet, 8 3/4 inches).

At Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University – Second Day Results       Moravian Individual Results       Moravian Relay Results

Moravian participated in the second day of the non-scoring Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey turned in the Greyhounds top individual finish, placing fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 14.82 seconds. Tussey was also eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 56.79 seconds while sophomore Ozzie Brown placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in 11.19 seconds.

In field events, sophomore Nathaniel Dutile took fifth place in the discus throw with a toss of 45.29 meters (148 feet, 7 1/4 inches) while senior Michael El Kazzaz was sixth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.45 meters (14 feet, 7 1/4 inches). Junior Michael Ossont was ninth in the javelin with a distance of 44.06 meters (144 feet, seven inches) while Dutile placed tenth in the shot put with a toss of 14.50 meters (47 feet, seven inches). Sophomore Robert Bernadyn took 18th in the hammer throw with a distance of 32.23 meters (105 feet, 9 1/4 inches) while senior Robert Kilmurray was 14th in the discus at 39.31 meters (129 feet) and junior Steve Kondorossy was 22nd with a distance of 34.03 meters (111 feet, eight inches).

Freshman Jeff Berland took 11th in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.14 seconds while freshman Robert Shaffer took 14th in the 100-meter dash in 11.32 seconds. Junior Josh Kline placed 14th in the 400-meter dash in 52.00 seconds while sophomore James Bell was 20th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.51 seconds. Moravian's 4x100-meter relay team of Bell, Brown, Shaffer and Kline took sixth in a time of 43.84 seconds.

At Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University – First Day Results    

The Greyhounds were scheduled to have three discus throwers compete on the first day of ther Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University. However, the full results of the first day of competion were unavailable.

At Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University – No Team Scores        Moravian Individual Results 

Moravian had one individual compete at the Danny Curran Invitational being hosted by Widener University with senior Will Shimer placing third in the 10,000 meters in a time of 35:46.26.

At Rider University-Lafayette College 6-Way Meet – 3rd of 6       Moravian Individual Results       Moravian Relay Results

Moravian participated in the Rider University-Lafayette College 6-Way Meet and placed third of the six teams with a score of 52.50 points while co-host Rider won with 90 points. Moravian was the only NCAA Division III school in the meet. The Greyhounds had three individual event winners with sophomore Ozzie Brown winning the 200-meter dash in 22.14 seconds, sophomore Nathaniel Tussey capturing the 400-meter hurdles in 55.41 seconds and senior Michael El Kazzaz winning the pole vault with a top height of 4.42 meters (14 feet, six inches). Brown also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 6.61 meters (21 feet, 8 1/4 inches), and he was third in the 100-meter dash in 11.29 seconds. Tussey finished second in he 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 14.94 seconds, and he was ninth in the 100-meter dash in 11.78 seconds.

Also in the 100-meter dash, freshman Robert Shaffer placed fourth in 11.39 seconds while sophomore James Bell was fifth in 11.51 seconds. Shaffer also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash at 22.99 seconds while Bell was sixth in a time of 23.08 seconds. Junior Josh Kline took fifth in the 400-meter dash in 51.29 seconds, and he was ninth in the 200-meter dash in 23.22 seconds. Moravian's 4x100-meter relay squad of Bell, Brown, Shaffer and Kline placed second in a time of 42.76 seconds.

Senior Greg Rarick placed 21st in the 1,500-meter run in 4:21.57, and he was 25th in the 800 meters in a time of 2:10.15. Freshman Timothy Murphy placed 24th in the 1,500 meters at 4:36.92. Freshman Jeff Berland placed eighth in the 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 16.34 seconds while freshman Jared Henrie was eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03.27. Freshman Stephen Mulchay took ninth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.26.

In addition to El Kazzaz in the pole vault, freshman Alan Woods placed third at a height of 3.96 meters (13 feet) while sophomore Allan Fatzinger was fourth, clearing 3.65 meters (12 feet) in his first action of the year.

In the throwing events, sophomore Nathaniel Dutile placed third in the shot put with a toss of 14.86 meters (48 feet, nine inches) while freshman Blair Maginnis was fourth at 13.37 meters (43 feet, 10 1/2 inches). Berland 11th in the shot put with a distance of 9.85 meters (32 feet, 3 3/4 inches). Dutile also finished fourth in the discus with a toss of 40.99 meters (134 feet, six inches) while junior Steve Kondorossy placed fifth at 37.33 meters (122 feet, six inches). Senior Robert Kilmurray was ninth in the discus with a toss of 30.45 meters (99 feet, 11 inches) while sophomore Robert Bernadyn took tenth at 29.24 meters (95 feet, 11 1/2 inches) and Berland was 11th at 26.65 meters (87 feet, 5 1/2 inches). Kondorossy was Moravian's top finisher in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.99 meters (127 feet, 11 1/4 inches) while junior Patrick Callahan was eighth at 33.69 meters (110 feet, 6 3/4 inches). Bernadyn placed ninth at 32.15 meters (105 feet, six inches) while Maginnis was tenth at 32.02 meters (105 feet, one inch). Freshman Justin Starcher placed fourth in the javelin with a throw of 47.98 meters (157 feet, 5 1/4 inches) while junior Michael Ossont placed sixth at 47.18 meters (154 feet, 9 3/4 inches).

At 2006 Lehigh Valley Games hosted by DeSales University and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania – Second Day Results       Moravian Individual Results     

The Greyhounds had a pair of first place finishers on the second day of the 2006 Lehigh Valley Games hosted at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey captured the 110-meter high hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 14.84 seconds while sophomore Ozzie Brown won the long jump with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying leap of 7.02 meters (23 feet, 1/2 inch). Tussey also placed third in the 400-meter hurdles in 56.22 seconds and sixth in the 100-meter dash in 11.64 seconds while Brown was second in the 200-meter dash in 22.41 seconds and fifth in the high jump at 1.85 meters (six feet, one inch).

In other sprint results for Moravian, freshman Robert Shaffer was third in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.40 seconds, and he was eighth in the 200-meter dash in 23.08 seconds. Junior Josh Kline placed ninth in the 200-meter dash in 23.15 seconds, and Kline was fifth in the 400-meter dash at 51.92 seconds. Sophomore James Bell was tenth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.32 seconds while freshman Jeff Berland took 19th at 24.59 seconds. Berland also placed 12th in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.70 seconds. Sophomore Ty Kern was sixth in the 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 15.72 seconds, and he placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.23. Freshman Jared Henrie was 14th in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:04.48.

Sophomore Timothy Pagano led Moravian in the distance events with a seventh place finish in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:03.69. Freshman Timothy Murphy placed ninth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:02.08 while senior Greg Rarick took 29th in the 1,500 meters in 4:21.72.

Berland also competed in the long jump, placing 12th with a leap of 5.27 meters (17 feet, 3 1/2 inches). Senior Michael El Kazzaz placed fourth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.11 meters (13 feet, six inches) while freshman Alan Woods was seventh at 3.81 meters (12 feet, six inches).

Sophomore Nathaniel Dutile paced the Greyhounds in the shot put with a toss of 14.14 meters (46 feet, five inches), which placed him second. Freshman Blair Maginnis was sixth at 12.95 meters (42 feet, six inches) while Berland was 11th at 10.69 meters (35 feet, one inch) and sophomore Robert Bernadyn placed 14th with a toss of 9.24 meters (30 feet, four inches). Senior Robert Kilmurray placed fourth in the discus with a toss of 39.96 meters (131 feet, five inches) while junior Steve Kondorossy took eight at 35.05 meters (115 feet). Bernadyn was 12th in the discus with a distance of 30.56 meters (100 feet, 3 1/2 inches). Junior Michael Ossont placed second in the javelin with a toss of 51.84 meters (170 feet, one inch) while freshman Justin Startcher took ninth at 45.93 meters (150 feet, 8 1/2 inches) and freshman John Muhlen finished tenth with a distance of 44.64 meters (146 feet, 5 1/2 inches).

Moravian began its 2006 outdoor season at the first day of the 2006 Lehigh Valley Games being hosted by DeSales University and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Moravian had five competitors in the first day action at DeSales with all five competing in the hammer throw. Junior Steve Kondorossy placed fourth with a toss of 37.10 meters (121 feet, nine inches) while sophomore Robert Bernadyn was fifth at 34.11 meters (111 feet, 11 inches). Sophomore John Wagner finished eighth with a distance of 32.41 meters (106 feet, four inches) while junior Patrick Callahan placed ninth at 32.25 meters (105 feet, ten inches) and freshman Blair Maginnis took 11th place with a toss of 27.88 meters (91 feet, six inches).

At 2006 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships hosted by St. Olaf College – Tied for 50th    Moravian Individual Results   

The Greyhounds tied for 50th of the 51 teams that scored and had one All-American on the second and final day of the 2006 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships hosted by St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey was eighth in the finals of the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 8.04 seconds to earn All-American accolades for the first time in his collegiate career. His eighth place finish also earned Moravian a point, tying the squad for the final place in the standings while the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse won the title with 78 points.

At 2006 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships hosted by St. Olaf College – First Day Results    Moravian Individual Results   

Moravian has two competitors at the 2006 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships being hosted by St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey placed fifth in the preliminaries of the 55-meter hurdles with a season best time of 7.64 seconds and advanced to the championship race on Saturday at 4:55 p.m. central time. Sophomore Ozzie Brown placed 13th in the long jump, the first event of the two-day meet, with a leap of 6.62 meters (21 feet, 8 3/4 inches).

At 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Susquehanna University – 3rd of 10    Moravian Individual Results     Moravian Relay Results

The Greyhounds placed third of ten schools at the 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Susquehanna University. Moravian had a team score of 76 points while Elizabethtown College won the title with 129 points. The Greyhounds had three individual champions with sophomore Ozzie Brown win the long jump with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying distance of 7.00 meters (22 feet, 11 3/4 inches), sophomore Nathaniel Tussey capturing the 55-meter hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 7.73 seconds and sophomore Nathaniel Dutile winning the shot put with a toss of 15.02 meters (49 feet, five inches).

Brown also placed second in the 200-meter dash in 22.68 seconds, third in the high jump, clearing 1.98 meters (six feet, six inches) and tenth in the preliminaries of the 55-meter hurdles in 8.28 seconds. Sophomore James Bell was fifth in the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.63 seconds, and he took sixth in the 200-meter dash in 23.32 seconds. Freshman Robert Shaffer was seventh in the preliminaries of the 55-meter dash in 6.69 seconds, and he placed eighth in the 200-meter dash in 23.42 seconds. Junior Josh Kline was third in the 400-meter dash in 51.41 seconds, and he was 11th in the 200-meter dash in 23.80 seconds. Sophomore Ty Kern was eighth in the preliminaries of the 55-meter hurdles while freshman Jeff Berland recorded a time of 8.35 seconds, good enough for 11th place. In the distance races, freshman Timothy Murphy placed 13th in the 800-meter run in 2:11.17 while sophomore Timothy Pagano was 12th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:18.15.

Moravian's 4x400-meter relay team of Kline, Tussey, Kern and Brown placed fifth in a time of 3:32.39 while the 4,000-meter distance relay squad of Murphy, senior Greg Rarick, junior Anthony Sarno and sophomore Vince Pagano was sixth in a time of 11:07.34. The 4x800-meter relay team of Murphy, Sarno, Rarick and junior Josh Hunter placed eighth in a time of 8:44.56 while the 4x200-meter relay squad was disqualified.

In other field events, senior Michael El Kazzaz took second in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.42 meters (14 feet, six inches while freshman Alan Woods was seventh at 3.96 meters (13 feet). Freshman Blair Maginnis was third in the shot put with a toss of 13.96 meters (45 feet, 9 3/4 inches) while freshman Lance Adelsberger was fourth with a distance of 13.62 meters (44 feet, 8 1/4 inches). In the 35-pound weight throw, Dutile placed fifth with a toss of 13.65 meters (44 feet, 9 1/2 inches) while sophomore Robert Bernadyn took seventh at 13.24 meters (43 feet, 5 1/4 inches). Junior Steve Kondorossy was 12th at 12.13 meters (39 feet, 9 3/4 inches) while sophomore John Wagner placed 15th at 11.82 meters (38 feet, 9 1/2 inches) and junior Patrick Callahan was 19th with a toss of 10.15 meters (33 feet, 3 3/4 inches).

At Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College – Non-Scoring Meet    Moravian Individual Results    

Moravian had its final tune-up before the 2006 Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation's Indoor Championships at the non-scoring Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College. Freshman Timothy Murphy led the Greyhounds with a 12th place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:05.34 while freshman Jeremiah Rinehart was 20th at 2:10.19 and freshman John McCullough took 30th in a time of 2:32.91. Sophomore Vince Pagano was 12th in the 400-meter dash in 58.04 seconds. Sophomore Timothy Pagano placed 14th in the mile run with a time of 4:45.69 while junior Anthony Sarno was 15th in 4:45.82.

At Rider University-Lafayette College Invitational at New York City Armory – Non-Scoring Meet    Moravian Individual Results    

The Greyhounds participated in the non-scoring Rider University-Lafayette College Invitational at the New York City Armory. Moravian had one first place finish with sophomore Ozzie Brown winning the long jump with a leap of 7.07 meters (23 feet, 2 1/2 inches), a provisional qualifying distance for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Brown also finished third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.38 seconds, and he was fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.95 meters (six feet, 4 3/4 inches).

Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey took fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.44 seconds while sophomore Ty Kern was 15th in 8.92 seconds and Jeff Berland finished 20th at 9.37 seconds. Kern was also 20th in the 200-meter dash in 52.75 seconds and 21st in the 60-meter dash in 7.51 seconds. Junior Josh Kline placed 17th in the 400-meter dash at 52.33 seconds, and he finished 20th in the 200-meter dash in 23.51 seconds. Freshman Robert Shaffer was 19th in the 60-meter dash in 7.35 seconds and 22nd in the 200-meter dash at 23.65 seconds while sophomore James Bell was 17th in the 60-meter dash in 7.32 seconds and 21st in the 200-meter dash in 23.60 seconds. Freshman Jared Henrie took 22nd place in the 400-meter dash in a time of 55.01 seconds while sophomore Vince Pagano was 23rd in 58.19 seconds.

Freshman Timothy Murphy finished 19th in the 800-meter run in 2:04.59 while junior Josh Hunter placed 21st in the mile run at 4:36.20. Junior Anthony Sarno was 23rd in the mile run in 4:48.52 while senior Greg Rarick took 24th in a time of 4:50.51.

Sophomore Nathaniel Dutile finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 14.83 meters (48 feet, eight inches) while freshman Blair Maginnis was seventh with a distance of 13.92 meters (45 feet, eight inches). Dutile also placed 12th in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 13.40 meters (43 feet, 11 3/4 inches). Junior Steve Kondorossy was 13th in the weight throw at 12.95 meters (42 feet, six inches) while sophomore Robert Bernadyn placed 18th in the event with a toss of 11.94 meters (39 feet, 2 1/4 inches). Senior Michael El Kazzaz took fifth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.55 meters (14 feet, 11 inches) while freshman Alan Woods was 11th at 3.80 meters (12 feet, 5 1/2 inches).

Moravian competed at the non-scoring 7th Annual Dick Deschriver Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and had one individual winner. Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey captured the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 7.78 seconds, just three hundredths shy of qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Tussey was first in the event after a time of 7.81 seconds in the preliminaries. Tussey also teamed up with junior Josh Kline, sophomore Ty Kern and freshman Robert Shaffer to place fourth in the 4x200-meter relay in 1:34.65.

Kern placed 11th in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.45 seconds while freshman Jeff Berland was 17th in 8.67 seconds. In the 55-meter dash, sophomore James Bell had a top ten finish, placing ninth in 6.79 seconds while Shaffer was 14th in 6.84 seconds. Tussey finished 36th in 7.03 seconds while Berland was 37th in 7.05 seconds. Freshman Jared Henrie took 46th in the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.25 seconds. Shaffer was also 15th in the 200-meter dash in 24.24 seconds while Bell placed 17th in 24.37 seconds. In the 400-meter dash, Kline finished in the top ten for the Greyhounds, taking seventh in a time of 52.85 seconds. Sophomore Timothy Pagano was 27th in 55.48 seconds while Henrie placed 31st in 55.96 seconds.

In the distance events, freshman Timothy Murphy placed eighth in the 1,000-meter run in 2:41.68 while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart was 34th in the 800-meter run in 2:17.83. Senior Greg Rarick took 13th in the 3,000-meter run in 9:25.09, and he was 34th in the mile run at 4:54.16. Junior Josh Hunter led a trio of Greyhounds in the 5,000 meters with a 13th place finish in a time of 16:20.79. Senior William Shimer was 21st in the race in 16:57.79 while junior Anthony Sarno finished 22nd at 17:00.95.

In the field events, freshman Alan Woods tied for eighth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 13 feet (3.96 meters). In the 35-pound weight throw, sophomore Robert Bernadyn was 11th with a toss of 43 feet, 7 1/4 inches (13.29 meters) while junior Steve Kondorossy took 13th place at 42 feet, 8 3/4 inches (13.02 meters). Sophomore John Wagner was 25th in the event with a toss of 35 feet, 4 1/2 inches (10.78 meters).

At 14th John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University – 6th of 13    Moravian Individual Results     Moravian Relay Results

The Greyhounds placed sixth of 13 schools at the 14th John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University. Moravian had a team total of 56 points while the host Mountain Hawks won the meet with 166 points. The Greyhounds were the top Division III school in the meet and placed ahead of four NCAA Division I schools. Sophomore Ozzie Brown scored 24 points for the Greyhounds while placing first in the high jump, clearing 2.00 meters (six feet, 6 3/4 inches), second in the long jump with a leap of 6.88 meters (22 feet, seven inches), and third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.08 seconds. Brown's high jump was just a quarter of an inch shy of qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Senior Michael El-Kazzaz added eight points to the Greyhounds' total with a second place finish in the pole vault, clearing 4.50 meters (14 feet, nine inches). Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey picked up six points for the Greyhounds with a third place finish in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.35 seconds while sophomore Nathaniel Dutile earned six points with a third place finish in the shot put with a toss of 14.72 meters (48 feet, 3 1/2 inches). Junior Josh Kline added five points with four coming from a fifth place finish in the 500-meter dash in 1:11.48 and the other point coming from an eighth place showing in the 200-meter dash in 23.94 seconds. Freshman Tim Murphy was sixth in the 500-meter dash in 1:12.39 to earn three points while freshman Blair Maginnis added a point with an eighth place in the shot put with a toss of 13.62 meters. Moravian's final three points came from a seventh place finish by the 4x400-meter relay team of Kline, Murphy, sophomore Ty Kern and freshman Vince Pagano in a time of 3:45.41.

In other sprint events, Brown was 11th in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash in 7.23 seconds while sophomore James Bell was 16th in 7.37 seconds and freshman Robert Shaffer was 18th in 7.43 seconds. Bell was ninth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.08 seconds while Shaffer placed 16th in 24.46 seconds. Freshman Jeff Berland also ran in the 200-meter dash, placing 21st in 24.90 seconds. Tussey had the top time in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles in 8.45 seconds while Kern was 12th at 8.92 seconds and Berland finished 13th in 8.93 seconds.

Senior Greg Rarick competed for the first time this season, placing 27th in the mile run in 5:04.34 while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart was 29th in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:10.41. Junior Josh Hunter took 20th in the 3,000-meter run in 9:34.88 while junior Anthony Sarno was 22nd in 9:57.23.

Dutile finished 14th in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 12.20 meters (40 feet, 1/2 inch) while sophomore Robert Bernadyn was 16th at 11.49 meters (37 feet, 8 1/2 inches). Also competing in the weight throw were junior Patrick Callahan, who placed 19th at 10.85 meters (35 feet, 7 1/4 inches), Maginnis, who was 20th with a toss of 10.57 meters (34 feet, 8 1/4 inches) and sophomore John Wagner, who was 25th at 8.72 meters (28 feet, 7 1/2 inches). Freshman Lance Adlesberger was 14th in the shot put with a toss of 12.64 meters (41 feet, 5 3/4 inches) while freshman Alan Woods tied for ninth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.05 meters (13 feet, 3 1/2 inches).

At Susquehanna University Orange & Maroon Classic – Non-Scoring Meet    Moravian Individual Results     Moravian Relay Results

Moravian competed for the second time in two days at the non-scoring Susquehanna University Orange & Maroon Classic. The Greyhounds top individual finish was a first place time of 7.76 seconds by sophomore Nathaniel Tussey in the 55-meter hurdles, just .01 shy of provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Other top five finishes for Moravian included sophomore Ozzie Brown taking second in the 200-meter dash in 23.43 seconds and fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.50 meters (21 feet, four inches), sophomore Ty Kern finishing third in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.38 seconds, junior Steve Kondorossy with a fourth place finish in the 35-pound weight throw at 13.32 meters (43 feet, 8 1/2 inches) and sophomore Robert Bernadyn fifth in the same event at 13.31 meters (43 feet, eight inches).

In the sprint events, Brown placed sixth in the 55-meter dash in 6.86 seconds after running a time of 6.75 seconds in the preliminaries. Freshman Robert Shaffer was 12th in the 55-meter dash preliminaries in 6.84 seconds while sophomore James Bell was 14th at 6.86 seconds. Bell was tenth in the 200-meter dash in 24.25 seconds while Shaffer was 15th in 24.58 seconds. Freshman Jeff Berland finished 25th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.37 seconds. Kern placed 14th in the 400-meter dash in 55.00 seconds while Tussey was 18th at 55.43 and freshman Timothy Murphy was 22nd in 56.26 seconds. In the 55-meter hurdles, Tussey had a preliminary time of 7.89 seconds to finish first while Kern was fifth in the preliminaries in 8.38 seconds. Berland took 12th in the 55-meter hurdles preliminaries with a time of 8.87 seconds.

Freshman Josh Hunter placed tenth in the one mile run for the Greyhounds in a time of 4:43.02 while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart was 20th in the 800-meter run in 2:13.42. Junior Josh Kline finished 27th in the 800 meters in a time of 2:18.81. Sophomore Timothy Pagano was ninth in the 5,000-meter run in 16:29.66 while senior William Shimer placed 11th in the race with a time of 16:50.11. Moravian's distance medley relay team of Hunter, Murphy, sophomore Vince Pagano and junior Anthony Sarno placed fifth in a time of 11:20.23.

Freshman Lance Adelsberger was seventh in the shot put with a toss of 13.20 meters (43 feet, four inches) while freshman Blair Maginnis was tenth at 12.26 meters (40 feet, 2 3/4 inches) and Bernadyn was 18th with a distance of 10.70 meters (35 feet, 1 1/2 inches). Junior Patrick Callahan placed eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 11.03 meters (36 feet, 2 1/2 inches) while sophomore John Wagner was 11th at 10.57 meters (34 feet, 8 1/2 inches) and Maginnis placed 12th with a distance of 10.52 meters (34 feet, 6 1/2 inches).

At 4th Annual Great Dane Classic at New York Armory – 12th of 14    Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds returned to action after a six-week layoff with a 12th place finish of 14 schools at the 4th Annual Great Dane Classic hosted by the University of Albany at the New York City Armory. Moravian received all eight of its points from a second place finish by sophomore Ozzie Brown in the long jump. Brown recorded a distance of 7.12 meters (23 feet, 4 1/2 inches) to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships. The Greyhounds had one other top ten finish with senior Michael El Kazzaz placing ninth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.50 meters (14 feet, nine inches).

In other field events, sophomore Nathaniel Dutile placed 16th in both the shot put with a distance of 14.03 meters (46 feet, 1/2 inch) and in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 13.66 meters (44 feet, 9 3/4 inches). Sophomore James Bell took 29th in the 55-meter dash in 6.78 seconds.

At Lafayette College Invitational – 5th of 5    Moravian Individual Results

Moravian began its 2005-06 indoor season with a fifth place finish of five schools at the 2005 Lafayette College Invitational at Kirby Sports Center. The Greyhounds, the only NCAA Division III team in the meet, scored 66 points while Rider University was first with 166.5 points. Moravian did have two individual winners with sophomore Ozzie Brown capturing first in the high jump, clearing a height of six feet, five inches (1.95 meters) and senior Michael El Kazzaz winning the pole vault, clearing 13 feet, nine inches (4.19 meters). Brown also set a Moravian record in the 300-yard dash with a time of 32.80 seconds, which was third in the race.

Brown also competed in the long jump, placing ninth at 5.58 meters (18 feet, 3 3/4 inches), and he was seventh in the preliminaries of the 60-yard dash in 6.42 seconds. Freshman Alan Woods tied for fourth in the pole vault, clearing 11 feet, nine inches (3.58 meters) in his first collegiate event. In the throwing events, sophomore Nathaniel Dutile was fifth in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 14.12 meters (46 feet, four inches), and he was sixth in the shot put at 13.62 meters (44 feet, 8 1/4 inches). Sophomore Robert Bernadyn took eighth in the weight throw at 11.93 meters (39 feet, 1 3/4 inches) and was ninth in the shot put with a toss of 10.57 meters (34 feet, 8 1/4 inches). Junior Steve Kondorossy finished sixth in the weight throw at 13.12 meters (43 feet, 1/2 inch) while junior Patrick Callahan was ninth in the event with a toss of 10.93 meters (35 feet, 10 1/2 inches).

Sophomore Nathaniel Tussey led Moravian in the sprint events, placing second in the finals for the 60-yard hurdles in 7.34 seconds after running a time of 7.70 seconds in the preliminaries. Freshman Jeff Berland was sixth in the event with a finals time of 8.01 seconds after placing sixth in the preliminaries with a time of 7.90 seconds. Sophomore Ty Kern ran a time of 7.95 seconds in the preliminaries, which placed him seventh. In the 60-yard dash, sophomore James Bell finished in a tie for third in 6.50 seconds after running a time of 6.28 seconds in the preliminaries, which had him placed fourth. Berland was 12th in the preliminaries of the 60-yard dash in 6.77 seconds while Tussey was 13th at 6.81 seconds. Kern was eighth in the 300-yard dash in 34.21 seconds while Bell took 13th in a time of 35.10 seconds.

Freshman Stephen Mulchay was ninth in the 440-yard dash with a time of 59.33 seconds in his first meet for the Greyhounds while sophomore Vince Pagano finished tenth in 59.91 seconds. Freshman Tim Murphy placed seventh in the 500-meter run at 1:11.43 while junior Anthony Sarno was sixth in the one mile run in a time of 4:50.90. Freshman Jeremiah Rinehart was seventh in the mile run at 4:59.60.
