Head Coach Shelley Bauder
Beginning
her 17th season at the head of the Moravian College volleyball program
is Shelley Bauder. In her first 16 years at Moravian,
Bauder has led the Greyhounds to a 329-190 record with
three appearances in the NCAA Division III playoffs and fourth berths
in the ECAC South Championships. Her .634 winning percentage ranks in
the top 50 in the nation among active NCAA Division III coaches.
Moravian made the NCAA Division III Playoffs from 1997 to 1999 and posted
eight straight 20-win seasons from 1997 through 2003 under Bauder.
Her best record at the school was back in 1996 when the Greyhounds went
25-5. She has been the conference Coach of the Year four times in the
last eight years including 2001. Bauder was also the American Volleyball
Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year in 1997.
Bauder received a Bachelor of Arts in physical education/education
from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1984 and received a Master
of Education with a concentration in physical education/health from East
Stroudsburg University in 1993.
Bauder serves on the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Advisory Committee, is the volleyball sport committee chair for the Landmark Conference, is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, and serves as a Division III top 25 national poll voter.
Assistant Coach Adam Jolley
Adam Jolley enters his fourth year with the Hounds after
a three-year tenure at Hilbert College in Buffalo, New York, where he coached
both the men and women’s volleyball teams. While he was attending
the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, he coached at the high school
level and played on the men’s club team. Coach Jolley
also helped establish a junior Olympic program, the Keystone Empire Volleyball
Association.
