The Moravian College women's cross country finished 22nd of 44 teams at the 2009 NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional Championship hosted by Muhlenberg College at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus. The Greyhounds scored 606 points while Johns Hopkins University, the top ranked team in the nation, was first with 109 points. Dickinson College was the runner-up with 113 points.
Sophomore Cadee Rockwell, pictured, missed earning All-Region honors by just one place and one second as she placed 36th of 311 runners in a time of 23:10.2 on the 6,000-meter course, her top time of the season. Sophomore Kristina Ruggiero was 98th in the race in a time of 24:19.1 while junior Tara Chiarella was 122nd in 24:43.3. Freshman Emma Pacheco was 188th in the meet with a time of 26:00.7 while junior Kaleen Holden took 191st in 26:05.3. Sophomore Katie Engwall finished in 219th place in 26:36.9 while sophomore Megan Hallowell placed 232nd in a time of 26:56.8. All of Moravian's runners with the exception of Chiarella posted their season-best time at 6,000-meters in the race.

The Moravian College women's cross country finished fifth at the 2009 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by The Catholic University of America. The Greyhounds scored 109 points while The University of Scranton won the title with 41 points, seven points ahead of runner-up Susquehanna University.
Sophomore Cadee Rockwell, pictured, earned Landmark All-Conference First Team honors for the Greyhounds with a fifth place finish of 79 runners in a time of 24:55 on the 6,000-meter course. Sophomore Kristina Ruggerio earned a spot on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team by finishing 13th in 25:53 while junior Tara Chiarella was 19th in 26:17. Rounding out Moravian’s top five were junior Kaleen Holden in 38th place in a time of 27:51 and freshman Emma Pacheco in 43rd in 28:16.
Sophomore Katie Engwall finished 48th in a time of 28:44 while sophomore Megan Hallowell placed 60th in 29:42. Sophomore Holly Fleming was 63rd in the meet in 29:55 while sophomore Erin George took 72nd in a time of 31:38. Senior Gail Dornenburg placed 73rd in 31:43 while sophomore Katie Pritchett rounded out the Moravian runners in a time of 32:41.

The Moravian College women's cross country did not record a team score at the Pete Nevins Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. The Greyhounds, who rested their top runners to prepare for next weekend's Landmark Conference Championships, only had four runners in the meet so the team didn't have a team score. The host Warriors won the meet with 71 points to lead the 11 teams that scored. There were two other teams in addition to Moravian that did not have a team score.
Sophomore Megan Hallowell, pictured, led the Greyhounds with a 55th place finish of 90 runners on the 5,000-meter course with a time of 24:20. Sophomore Erin George placed 64th in 25:15 while senior Gail Dorenberg was 67th in 25:36. Sophomore Katie Pritchett finished 68th in a time of 25:58.
At DeSales University Invitational - 12th of 25 - Moravian

The Moravian College women's cross country placed 12th of 25 schools at the DeSales University Invitational. The Greyhounds had a team score of 293 points while Dickinson College won the race with a score of 83 points.
Sophomore Cadee Rockwell, pictured, led the Greyhounds on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 24:57.52, which placed her 21st of the 221 runners in the race. Sophomore Kristina Ruggiero took 50th in 25:41.68 while junior Tara Chiarella was 77th in a time of 26:26.93. Rounding out the Greyhounds' top five were junior Kaleen Holden in 93rd place with a time of 26:53.96 and freshman Emma Pacheco in 107th place in 27:35.87.
Other runners competing for the Greyhounds included sophomore Katie Engwall, who took 116th in 27:53.83, freshman Holly Fleming, who was 138th in a time of 28:38.76, senior Gail Dorenberg, who took 190th place in a time of 32:03.57, and sophomore Katie Pritchett, who finished 197th in 33:06.35.

The Moravian College women's cross country placed 18th of 32 schools in the 36th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run, College Women White hosted by Lehigh University. The Greyhounds had a team score of 422 points while the University of Ottawa won the race with a score of 148 points.
Sophomore Cadee Rockwell led the Greyhounds on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 23:33, which placed her 22nd of the 248 runners in the race. Junior Tara Chiarella, pictured, was 39th in a time of 24:14 while sophomore Kristina Ruggiero took 82nd in 25:02. Rounding out the Greyhounds' top five were junior Kaleen Holden in 143rd place with a time of 26:16 and freshman Emma Pacheco in 154th place in 26:29.
Other runners competing for the Greyhounds included freshman Holly Fleming, who was 204th in a time of 28:15, sophomore Katie Pritchett, who finished 225th in 29:57, and senior Gail Dorenberg, who took 229th place in a time of 30:11.

The Moravian College women's cross country placed sixth of 11 schools at the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University. The Greyhounds had a team score of 145 points while Ithaca College won the meet with a score of 38 points.
Sophomore Cadee Rockwell, pictured, led the Greyhounds on the 5,000-meter course with a time of 20:05, which placed her sixth of the 97 runners in the race. Junior Tara Chiarella was 26th in a time of 20:50 while sophomore Kristina Ruggiero took 31st in 21:05. Rounding out the Greyhounds' top five were sophomore Katie Engwall in 54th place with a time of 22:12 and freshman Emma Pacheco in 58th place in 22:16.
Other runners competing for the Greyhounds included junior Kaleen Holden, who was 67th in a time of 22:35, sophomore Megan Hallowell, who finished 74th in 23:08, freshman Holly Fleming, who placed 77th in 23:57, senior Gail Dorenberg, who took 85th place in a time of 25:59, and sophomore Katie Pritchett, who was 88th in 26:38.

with a fifth place finish at the 2009 Lehigh Valley Championships run
on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University. The Greyhounds posted a
team score of 133 points while the host Mountain Hawks won the meet
with 35 points.
Sophomore Cadee Rockwell, pictured, led the Greyhounds on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 23:44.5 to place ninth of 74 runners. Junior Tara Chiarella took 25th place in 24:46.7 while sophomore Kristina Ruggiero was 32nd in a time of 25:33.1. Rounding out the Moravian top five were sophomore Katie Engwall in 49th place in 27:38.4 and junior Kaleen Holden one spot back in 50th in a time of 27:46.0.
Other runners competing for the Greyhounds included freshman Emma Pacheco taking 53rd in 28:29.5, sophomore Megan Hallowell in 54th place in a time of 28:41.2, sophomore Katie Pritchett finishing 64th in 31:09.4 and senior Gail Dorenberg placing 68th in 31:45.3 in her first race for Moravian.
