Moravian closed out the 2004 season with a 9-2 victory over Juniata College in Commonwealth Conference action on the HUB Quad. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute on an unassisted goal by freshman midfielder Anndrea Yetter, her fifth goal of the season. Juniata would tie the match in the 13th minute on a goal by Nikki McLellan that was assisted by Rebecca Shoaf. The Greyhounds would get the lead back for goof in the 23rd minute when Yetter scored another unassisted goal for her sixth tally of the season. Senior defender Kelly Haymaker finished off the scoring for Moravian in the first half with her third goal of the year, an unassisted marker in the 26th minute. The Greyhounds would score the first four goals of the second half with junior midfielder Jessica Cordani netting her second goal of the season, an unassisted tally in the 55th minute. Junior forward Megan Collins scored the first of two goals, her ninth of the year, off a pass from Cordani in the 56th minute while senior forward Brianne DeVries netted her seventh tally of the season off a pass from junior defender Erin Gonda in the 61st minute. Sophomore midfielder Alisha Davy found the back of the net for the Greyhounds for her second goal of the season in the 67th minute off a pass from Cordani. Juniata's McLellan would score again in the 71st minute, however, Moravian added two more goals for the victory. Collins scored her tenth goal of the year, an unassisted goal in the 77th minute while freshman defender Lauren Jo Zickmund scored her first collegiate goal off an assist by Haymaker in the 88th minute. Moravian had a 21-9 advantage in shots while both teams had three corner kicks. Moravian senior goalie Jill Vaccaro had two saves in the victory while Lisa Russo made four stops for the Eagles.

At York College of Pennsylvania – Tied 2-2 (2 overtimes)        Box Score

The Greyhounds played to a 2-2 double-overtime tie at York College of Pennsylvania in a non-conference match. The tie was Moravian's fourth of the season in the squad's final non-conference match of the year. The Spartans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 7:45 of the match on goals by Katie Orlando and Erin Kuhn. Moravian would cut the score to 2-1 in the 11th minute when junior defender Erin Gonda scored her second goal of the season off a corner kick by senior forward Brianne DeVries. The Greyhounds tied the match in the 61st minute on the fourth goal of the year by sophomore forward Kristina Adams. York had 26-15 advantage in shots while both schools had five corner kicks. Moravian freshman goalie Kelly Wight made ten saves in the first action of her collegiate career, and the Greyhounds also had a team save. Amanda Lomberg made five saves in the first half for the Spartans while Kara Fischer had four saves in the second half and the two overtime sessions.

At Muhlenberg College – Tied 0-0 (2 overtimes)        Box Score

For the second time in six days and the third time this season, Moravian played to a double-overtime, 0-0 tie, this time at rival Muhlenberg College. The tie drops the Greyhounds to 8-5-3 overall and keeps the annual Matte Award standings between the two schools tied, now at 2-2. Muhlenberg had an 11-8 edge in shots while Moravian had a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks. Moravian's best chance to score came with 4:30 remaining in regulation time when sophomore forward Kristina Adams drilled a shot from just inside the 18-yard box that didn't sink fast enough and ended up hitting the crossbar and bouncing away. Senior goalie Jill Vaccaro made eight saves for the Greyhounds while Stacey Spector had five saves for Muhlenberg. The shutout was the sixth of the season for Vaccaro and the 21st of her career.

Moravian won its first Commonwealth Conference match of the season with a 4-1 victory at Albright College. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half when freshman midfielder Jill Newswanger scored the first goal of her collegiate career on an assist from junior forward Megan Collins in the 12th minute. The Greyhounds took a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute when junior midfielder Kindal Estes scored her first goal of the season. Moravian's lead would become 3-0 in the 63rd minute on the first goal of the season for junior defender Erin Gonda. Gonda would set up the Greyhounds' final goal in the 65th minute, the eighth goal of the year by Collins. Albright would also score in the 65th minute. Moravian had a 10-9 advantage in shots with senior goalie Jill Vaccaro making six saves in the victory.

Moravian won its final non-conference home match of the season, defeating Delaware Valley College, 4-1, on the HUB Quad. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute when senior forward Brianne DeVries netted her fifth goal of the season off a pass from sophomore midfielder Alisha Davy. The Aggies would tie the contest in the 42nd minute when junior Janelle Smoyer connected on a penalty kick. The Greyhounds would score three unanswered goals in the second half for the victory with DeVries putting home a loose ball in the 54th minute for her sixth goal of the season and the game-winner. Freshman midfielder Anndrea Yetter found the back of the net in the 56th minute off a crossing pass from Davy while sophomore forward Kristina Adams finished off the scoring with a goal set up by Yetter in the 67th minute. Moravian had a 25-4 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks. The Pioneers jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead on a goal by freshman Laura Davidson assisted by freshman Samantha Hand in the 12th minute and a goal by junior Megan Donato assisted by senior Laura Hughes in the 37th minute. The Greyhounds pulled to within 2-1 in the 50th minute when junior forward Megan Collins found the back of the net with an unassisted goal, her eighth of the year. Widener added an insurance goal in the 78th minute when Donato scored off a pass from Hand. Widener had a 16-9 advantage in shots while both teams had four corner kicks. Moravian snapped a two-match losing streak with a 4-0 shutout victory at Wesley (DE) College in non-conference action. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead on first half goals by senior forward Brianne DeVries in the 23rd minute and junior forward Megan Collins in the 37th minute. Freshman midfielder Anndrea Yetter had assists on both goals. Collins would tally a second goal in the match off another assist from Yetter in the 81st minute for Collins' sixth goal of the season. Vs. Lebanon Valley College – Lost 3-2    Box Score

The Greyhounds saw a 2-0 halftime lead slip away as the squad fell to 0-3 in Commonwealth Conference action after a 3-2 loss to Lebanon Valley College on the HUB Quad. Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute when junior forward Megan Collins found the back of the net with a header for her fourth goal of the season off a pass from junior midfielder Kindal Estes. Moravian extended its lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute on the second goal of the season by sophomore forward Kristina Adams off a crossing pass from senior forward Brianne DeVries. However, the Flying Dutchmen received a hat trick by senior forward Ilyse Resnick in the second half for the victory. Resnick scored unassisted goals in the 68th and 72nd minutes before scoring the game-winner off an assist from sophomore midfielder Keri Foster in the 82nd minute. Moravian lost its second straight Commonwealth Conference match of the 2004 season, falling to nationally-ranked Messiah College, 4-1, in a match on the HUB Quad. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute when senior defender Kelly Haymaker scored her second goal of the season on a loose ball 18-yards out after a Moravian corner kick. The goal was Haymaker's second of the season. The Falcons, ranked fourth in the nation this week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Top 25 poll, scored four unanswered goals. Messiah tied the match in the 56th minute on an unassisted goal by junior midfielder/defender Billie Jo Atkins. Junior midfielder Hanna Levesque scored her first goal of the season in the 74th minute to give the Falcons the lead for good. Freshman forward Annie Futato netted two unassisted goals, one in the 81st minute and the other in the 85th minute, to finish off the scoring. Futato now has 12 goals on the year. Messiah had a 15-5 advantage on shots while both teams had four corner kicks. Moravian senior goalie Jill Vaccaro had 11 saves in the match while Messiah freshman keeper Lana Trotter didn't need to make a save in the victory.

Moravian suffered its second straight defeat, falling to Susquehanna University, 2-1, in the Commonwealth Conference season opener for both schools. The Crusaders jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead on a pair of goals by senior forward Jess Paulshock. Junior midfielder Trish Noel set up Paulshock's first goal in the 30th minute while senior defender Kate McMaster assisted on Paulshock's second tally in the 39th minute. Moravian only score in the match came in the 48th minute while freshman midfielder Anndrea Yetter found the back of the net off a pass from junior forward Megan Collins. Greyhound senior goalie Jill Vaccaro made four saves in the loss while junior keeper Kim Wild had seven stops for the Crusaders. Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute when freshman midfielder Anndrea Yetter scored her first collegiate goal on a shot from 25-yards out that deflected off of Haverford goalie Jill Foley. However, the Fords would net three goals in a span of five minutes to take the lead. Allison Frank scored from 25-yards out in the 47th minute to knot the score at 1-1 before MeeJean Kim scored the go-ahead goal in the 49th minute from 15-yards out. Elena Kozakewich found the back of the net with the winning goal in the 52nd minute after she dribbled in from ten-yards out. Moravian remained undefeated and improved to 3-0 on the season with a 2-1 non-conference victory over St. Mary's College of Maryland to close out the team's season opening three-match homestand on the HUB Quad. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute when junior forward Megan Collins scored her first goal of the season off a pass from senior forward Brianne DeVries. Sophomore midfielder Alisha Davy netted what was the game-winning goal for the Greyhounds in the 25th minute on an unassisted goal. The Seahawks lone tally of the game was actually a Moravian own goal in the 42nd minute when the ball found the net off of a Moravian defender. The match was scoreless until the 83rd minute when junior midfielder Jessica Cordani lifted a shot into the goal from 20 yards out off a crossing pass from senior forward Brianne DeVries. DeVries would add an unassisted breakaway goal from 18 yards out with just 30 seconds remaining in the match to cap the scoring for Moravian.
