Head Coach Eric Lambinus - Coaches Corner
Eric Lambinus is beginning his 11th season as head women’s soccer coach at his alma mater. In his first ten years, Lambinus has led the women's squad to a 121-58-14 mark, six playoff berths including berths in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in 2005, 2007 and 2008, the program's first-ever conference title in the 2008 Landmark Conference Tournament, six conference tournament appearances, and a berth in the 2003 ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship match.
Lambinus also coached the Moravian men's team during his first ten years, leading the squad to a 76-101-15 record, their first playoff appearance in ten years, four Commonwealth Conference playoff berths and two ECAC Tournament appearances. This fall is the first year Lambinus will focus on the women's team.
Lambinus graduated from Moravian College in 1994 after
an outstanding athletic career for the Greyhounds. On the soccer field,
Lambinus was a four-time All Middle Atlantic Conference
All-Star (three times on the first team) and led the Greyhounds to a pair
of MAC Southern Division Championships in 1990 and 1991. He was a two-time
National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Mid-Atlantic All-American
in 1991 and 1992, and Lambinus earned adidas Regional
All-Academic honors three times.
Lambinus also played tennis at Moravian and served as
team captain for both soccer and tennis. He was the soccer team's MVP
as a junior and senior, and the tennis team's MVP as a senior. Lambinus
is third all-time in scoring at Moravian with 88 points in his soccer
career with 33 goals and 22 assists while playing his final three seasons
as a sweeper.
Lambinus came to Moravian after serving as assistant
men's soccer coach, athletic department administrative assistant and finance
assistant for the Senior Vice-President of Finance and Management at Washington
College in Chestertown, Maryland.
A former professional soccer player and captain of the Reading Rage Soccer
Team, Lambinus earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree from
Moravian in 1994 and completed the Master of Health and Physical Education
program at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in May of 1999.
He also has his NSCAA National Diploma, passing with distinction. Lambinus
resides in Breinigsville with his widfe Cindy and their two children,
MacKenzie and Owen.
Assistant Coach Jill Vaccaro
Jill Vaccaro joined the Moravian staff in 2008. Coach Vaccaro will work
primarily with the goalies after starring as a goalie for the Greyhounds from 2001 to 2004. Coach Vaccaro is also assisting with the goalies on Moravian's men's soccer team
Assistant Coach Kristina Adams
Kristina Adams is also in her second season as a coach with
the Greyhounds after starring on the field from 2003 to 2006.
Assistant Coach Katelyn Killea
Katelyn Killea moves to the sidelines this fall as a coach for Moravian after starting the last four seasons including on all three of the Greyhounds' NCAA Tournament teams in 2005, 2006 and 2008.
