Vs. Cabrini College – Lost 5-4

The Moravian College women's tennis squad began its 2007-08 season with a 5-4 loss to Cabrini College in a non-conference match at Hoffman Courts that featured a pair of teams that made the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament for the first time in the spring of 2007. The Cavaliers held a 2-1 lead after doubles action with Moravian's lone point coming from the third doubles tandem of senior Lindsey Hopper and freshman Kerry McKinley. In singles action, the Greyhounds would get wins from senior Brittany Popaca at second singles, senior Rebecca Angstadt at fifth singles and sophomore Lauren Ertel, whose three-set win at sixth singles tied the contest at 4-4. However, senior Jennel Yelito was unable to hold on for the victory, falling in three sets that included a ten-point tiebreaker for the third set due to darkness.
