Why did you choose to come to Moravian College?
I knew I wanted to play tennis in college and when I came on my overnight stay with the team and they all seemed to get along great and made me feel very welcome. I could tell from my weekend stay that Moravian had a very strong tennis program.
What
is your major (minor if applicable) at Moravian and how did you
decide on it?
My major is business management and my minor is sociology. I decided to major in business management because it allows you many options after college, and I hope to go into business for myself one day.
What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?
I took two environmental classes to fulfill some LINC requirements and they were both really interesting.
What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree
at Moravian?
Right now I am undecided on what I am doing after college. I am thinking about graduate school and if I don’t do that then I’ll try and get an internship next semester and see what happens from there.
What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?
My most memorable moment as a Greyhound would have to be beating Elizabethtown my sophomore year. They’ve always been a huge rival of ours and after losing to them in the finals my freshman year it felt great to beat them my sophomore year. It was also great and very memorable that due to that conference win we were the first Moravian tennis team to make it to the NCAA tournament.
How has being an athlete helped
you as a student?
Being an athlete teaches you time management. In season with sports and school you really learn to make the most use of your time. You really get focused on your work and try to get it done as early as possible so you don’t get too stressed out between school and sports.
What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?
Playing a sport here is a great opportunity and you should really go in trying to get the most out of it, and you should go in prepared to work very hard. Prioritize and make the best of your time so you don’t get overwhelmed with school work and sports, but don’t forget to leave some time to relax and have some fun too.
