2006 Review

The 2006 Moravian College women’s cross country team went under the direction of first-year coach Welles Lobb, who lead them to win the Mule/Falcon Classic where they placed overall 1st out of 13.

Leading Moravian was sophomore Kayla Teeling (Milford, NJ/Phillipsburg HS), who was named to the 2006 All-Mideast Region Team for women’s cross country. Her best time of the year was 24:20.00 and received a 17th place finish at the 2006 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in the 6,000-meter run. Teeling also ran a 19:31.00 in the 5,000-meter run at the College Misericordia Cougar Classic where she received a 3rd place finish.

Sophomore Kelly Williams (Tafton, PA/Wallenpaupack HS) received a 98th place finish with a time of 26:34.00 at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional, while junior Krystyn Fenon (Palmerton, PA/Lehighton HS) got 50th place with a 28:20.81 time in the MAC Championships.

Also running in the MAC Championships were sophomore Naomie Kachel (Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin HS) with a 29:00.91 time and a 64th place finish, junior Katie Pulizzano (Allentown, PA/William Allen HS) with a 29:06.07 time and a 69th place finish and finally senior Jennifer Connolly (Weare, NH/Manchester West HS) with a 29:40.07 time and a 76th place finish.Also running for the Greyhounds was sophomore Stephanie Miller (Easton, PA/Easton HS).

Teeling, Connolly, Kachel, Miller, and Williams were all named to the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Fall Academic Honor Roll.
