Preparation for a Banking Career Preparation for a banking career begins while you are in school. It is recommended that (regardless of your major) you take some business courses in accounting, sales/marketing, and finance. In addition, an internship at a bank or bank teller job will assist in preparing for a banking career. Remember, that with the exception of specialize jobs, your major does not determine whether or not a banking career is suitable for you.
