Workshop Goals

• to introduce participants to pedagogical methods, topics, and activities appropriate for a quantitative reasoning course. These topics are presented in the text Quantitative Reasoning: Tools for Today’s Informed Citizen by Alicia Sevilla and Kay Somers, Key College Publishing, 2007;

• to give participants an opportunity to work together to develop their own topics, activities, and projects;

• to promote general discussion about quantitative reasoning and quantitative literacy (QR/QL) and different courses and programs to develop QR/QL skills in college students.
