The Pre-Ministry Program at Moravian
It is recommended that students preparing for
Christian ministry use the Statement on Pre-Seminary Studies
of the American Association of Theological Schools as a guide.
Generally, any course leading the the bachelor's degree will
satisfy the entrance requirements of theological schools. Some
schools specify proficiency in Greek and/or Hebrew prior to
admission. Students are advised to check this and other specific
admission requirements of the seminary of their choice.

Recommendations and Guidelines
Consideration should be given to an interdepartmental
major in religion and a related discipline or major in one
of the following fields: classics, English, history, philosophy,
political science, psychology, or sociology.

Pre-Ministry Activities and Student Organizations
Several religious student organizations are prevelant
on campus to provide pre-Ministry students with activites and
opportunities. Catacombs meets Wednesday nights and shares
music of Christian contemporary along with relfection and prayer.
The Hillel Society is an international collegiate association
which offers religious, cultural, educational, and social activities
and programs for Jewish students and faculty. The Moravians
at Moravian organization seeks to provide students from around
the world a place for fun, fellowship, and support. The Newman
Association aims to develop mature Christian leaders though
the liturgy and sacraments and by encouraging students to integrate
their faith with secular studies.
