Academic Programs at Moravian

The purpose of a Moravian education is to set you free —from gaps in your knowledge, from limitations in your thinking, from isolation in your world—to lead a fulfilling, successful life. Our educational programs are founded on the ideals of John Amos Comenius, a Moravian leader born in the 16th century, now revered as the "father of modern education."

Our nation's leaders are crying out for a reaffirmation of his principles: a strong basic curriculum, personal attention from skilled teachers, a global perspective, and a vision for the future of students. Moravian College was founded more than 250 years ago on Comenius's principles. We continue to fine-tune his ideals to fulfill the needs of a new age and a new world order. We like to think that we have a special insight into what he had in mind.
