  • 4:00 p.m.
  • Meet at the HUB Desk by 4:00 p.m. for this guided tour.
  • Catch the Spirit of Moravian when you visit many of the places where you spent time as a student and see all the new buildings and facilities!

Class of 1959 Champagne ToasT with President Thomforde

  • 5:15 p.m.
  • Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex Atrium (across from the Haupert Union Building)
  • Exclusive champagne toast with President Christopher Thomforde and Dr. Kathy Thomforde in celebration of the 50th reunion for the Class of 1959. A reunion class photo will be taken at this time. Photos are pre-paid only; please order on the registration form in this booklet. No orders will be taken at the event.

Welcome Back Celebration ReceptioN & Dinner

  • 6:00 p.m. - Reception
  • 7:00 p.m. - Dinner Featuring a Performance by the Alumni Jazz Band
  • Reception: HUB Pavilion and Courtyard / Dinner: Johnston Hall
  • Cost: $27 per adult; $10 per child (ages 6-12) Catch the Spirit of Moravian when you catch up with your old friends and make some new ones.

50+ Club Breakfast and Induction Ceremony

  • The Spirit of Moravian College continues well past your 50th reunion. All those who have graduated 50 or more years ago are invited to this annual breakfast when the newest members, the Class of 1959, will be inducted by President Thomforde, receiving a commemorative pin and an individual photo with the president.

Tour of Main Street & Hurd Campuses

  • 9:15 a.m.
  • Meet at the HUB Desk no later than 9:15 a.m. for the tour of the North campus; a shuttle will take you to the South campus and return you to the North campus at approximately 10:45 a.m.
  • Catch the Spirit of the North and South campuses when you visit many of the places where you spent time as a student and see all the new buildings and facilities!

Alumni Association Annual Meeting

  • 10:00 a.m.
  • Haupert Union Building, Pavilion
  • You are a member of the Alumni Association! Catch the Spirit of Moravian when you learn about the Alumni Board. Their newest projects keep us connected for life, and strengthen the Moravian community that we all love!

State of the College Address

  • 11:00 a.m. - Address Featuring a Performance by the Alumni Choir
  • 11:30 a.m. - Q& A Session
  • Haupert Union Building, Snyder Room
  • Presented by President Christopher Thomforde

Picnic Luncheon

  • 12:00 p.m.
  • Cost: $18 per adult; $8 per child (6-12)
  • Haupert Union Building: Portico, Quad & Dining Room Extension.
  • Relax and enjoy a fun, casual style lunch with all your picnic favorites. There will be tables outside on the quad (soccer field) or you can stay inside and have a view of the field from the lovely Dining Room. Bring your children! A variety of sports equipment, i.e., balls, Frisbees, etc. will be available for your use with your family and friends.
  • A photographer will be taking candid photos and group shots of reunion classes. Group shots will be taken from 12:45 – 1:15 only at the fireplace in the HUB Lounge. All photos will be available for purchase at www.christmascitystudio.com; if you have any questions please call (610) 691-2109.

Music Alumni Reunion Party

  • 12:00 p.m.
  • Haupert Union Building Pavilion

Campus Tour of Main Street (North) Campus

  • 1:30 p.m.
  • Meet at the Haupert Union Building Desk
  • Catch the Spirit of Moravian when you visit many of the places where you spent time as a student and see all the new buildings and facilities! When the tour is over, you may continue with a tour of the new residence building and/or the Hurd (South) campus. Take the 2:15 p.m. shuttle at the HUB Monocacy Street entrance. North campus tour lasts approximately 40 minutes.

An Afternoon on Main Street

  • 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Catch the Spirit of Bethlehem as you spend some time on your own visiting the shops and galleries of downtown Bethlehem. A number of merchants will be offering a special discount to Moravian alumni. A shopping pass and a list of participating merchants will be given to you when you arrive on campus.

Omicron Gamma Omega (ΟΓΩ) Photo and Annual Meeting

  • 2:00 p.m.
  • Photo will be taken at Collier Hall of Science with the annual meeting to follow in Dana Lecture Hall.

“Hard Hat” Tour of New Residence HalL on Hurd Campus

  • 2:30 p.m.
  • A shuttle will be leaving the Monocacy Street entrance of the HUB at 2:15.
  • Be one of the first alumni to receive a guided tour of this new living and learning community in historic downtown Bethlehem. When this tour is over, you may continue with a tour of the Hurd campus.

Campus Tour of Hurd (South) Campus

  • 3:15 p.m.
  • A shuttle will leave the Monocacy Street entrance of the HUB at 3:10.

Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony

  • 4:00 p.m.
  • Peter Hall, Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus
  • Whether you’ve been married for fifty years or fifty days, come and celebrate your special union! This recommitment ceremony is for all married couples. President Thomforde will officiate, and Dr. Kathy Thomforde will greet the brides. A “reception” with punch and wedding cake will follow. All-Alumni Dinner Reception

  • 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Cost: $42 per person; Johnston Hall
  • Cocktail attire is suggested. Enjoy a festive evening with your Moravian friends.

Dormitories

Accommodations are available in Jo Smith Residence Hall. Cost is $30 per person, per night, single/double occupancy. All rooms are air conditioned and include linens. Rooms do fill up quickly, so make your reservations early! Guests may pick up their room key at the HUB desk on Friday from 3:30 until 9:00 p.m. After 9:00 p.m., pickup will be at the Campus Safety Office located at 119 West Greenwich Street.
