Student Alumni Association

Who We Are

The Student Alumni Association promotes a sense of pride in Moravian College in both students and alumni, and we have a lot of fun doing it!

Our mission is to strengthen the bonds between students and alumni within the College community; to ensure continuous communication between students and alumni; to prepare students for continued involvement as alumni; and to encourage student and alumni participation in campus activities that support the College's mission.

What We Do

The Student Alumni Association provides avenues for students and alumni to interact with another. We hold various activities throughout the school year and during the summer. The Career Networking Reception, Student-Alumni Brunches, Habitat for Humanity projects, and a South Campus Tour guided by Betty Adams Roach ’43 are just a few of the events SAA sponsors.

The Career Networking Reception
The CNR is a unique opportunity for MC students to network and connect with alumni in their career or field of interest. Alumni answer questions, offer advice, and discuss career option with the students. Students learn a valuable lesson in the art of mingling and networking, some even receive job or internship leads. Since it’s inception in 2002, the Career Networking Reception has grown to over 200 students and alumni in attendance with over 40 careers/fields of interest present.

Community Service Projects
Every spring, the Student Alumni Association, in conjunction with the Young Alumni Board, sponsors a community service day. The day is open to all students and is a wonderful way to foster our ties with the local community while at the same time bringing students and young alumni together for a wonderful cause. Some of the service projects have included clean up of Sand Island and Habitat for Humanity Jobsites.

Freshmen Welcome Picnics
SAA along with the Alumni Association offers Moravian’s “gift of hospitality” to our newest members each summer. We welcome the incoming freshmen at regional picnics hosted by alumni. The picnics are typically held in July and August in the following areas: Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, and the New Jersey Shore. The parents and freshmen have the opportunity to speak to students, alumni, faculty, and staff in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
