JUNIATA ADVANCES TO 2010 LANDMARK CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND WITH 8-0 SHUTOUT OF CATHOLIC

            BETHLEHEM, PA --- Junior pitcher John Love tossed a seven-hit shutout with two walks and four strikeouts to lead fourth seeded Juniata College to an 8-0 victory over second seeded The Catholic University of America in the final elimination game of the 2010 Landmark Conference Championship Tournament hosted by Moravian College at Gillespie Field.
            The Eagles advance to the championship game against the host Greyhounds. Senior catcher Greg Hoffman had solo home runs for Juniata in the seventh inning while senior second baseman Kyle Saxman and freshman outfielder Chase Dykstra were both two-for-four.
           Junior third baseman Troy Langway was two-for-three for the Cardinals, who finish the 2010 season at 22-17.
