At 2004 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Hosted by Allegheny College, Meadville, PA - 22nd of 34 - Moravian Individual Results

Moravian finished 22nd of 34 schools at the 2004 NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals hosted by Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The Greyhounds had a team score of 565 while Haverford College won the race with a score of 53 points. Junior Greg Rarick paced Moravian with a 66th place finish on the 8,000-meter course in a time of 27:40.0 while senior Patrick Grogan finished 96th of the 249 runners in 28:13.0. Junior Will Shimer placed 106th in 28:21.0 while junior Russell Zaleski was 155th in 29:22.0 and sophomore Jared Casciole placed 162nd with a time of 29:29.0 to round out the Moravian top five. Also competing for the Greyhounds were freshman Tim Pagano, who was 168th in 29:36.0 and freshman Erik Boyer, who placed 199th in a time of 30:33.0. Moravian also finished 12 spots behind rival Muhlenberg College, giving the Mules the point in the annual Matte Award standings.

At 2004 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships Hosted by Widener University at Belmont Plateau, Phihadelphia, PA - 10th of 13 - Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds placed tenth of 13 teams at the 2004 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Widener University at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia's Fairmont Park. Moravian had a team score of 237 while nationally-ranked Elizabethtown College won the race with 33 points. Junior Greg Rarick had the Greyhounds top time on the 8,000-meter course, placing 35th of 127 runners in a time of 28:14.0. Senior Patrick Grogan was 37th in 28:20.0 while sophomore Jared Casciole took 58th in 29:22.0. Rounding out the Moravian top five were junior William Shimer in 61st place with a time of 29:28.0 and junior Russell Zaleski in 71st position at 29:54.0. Also competing for the Greyhounds were freshman Timothy Pagano, who was 85th in 30:38.0, freshman Eric Boyer, who placed 87th at 30:50.0, sophomore Eric Kratz, who took 119th in 35:49.0, and senior Aditya Kahanna, who finished 122nd in a time of 37:32.0.

At DeSales University Invitational - 15th of 28 - Moravian Individual Results

Moravian finished 15th of 28 schools at the DeSales University Invitational in the team's final tune-up before the 2004 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships. Senior Patrick Grogan paced the Greyhounds with a 43rd place finish on the 8,000-meter course in a time of 28:16.43 while while junior Greg Rarick was 59th of the 199 runners with a time of 28:36.59. Junior Will Shimer placed 71st in 28:57.40 while sophomore Jared Casciole was 115th of the 199 runners with a time of 29:51.18. Junior Russell Zaleski placed 122nd win 30:11.11 while freshman Tim Pagano was 129th in 30:20.73.

In the junior varsity race, sophomore Eric Kratz placed 83rd of 92 runners in the junior varsity race with a time of 34:48.58 while senior Aditya Khanna was 87th in 37:56.15.

At LaSalle University Invitational - 11th of 12 - Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds placed 11th of 12 schools at the LaSalle University Invitational run on the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, the site of the 2004 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships. The Greyhounds had a team score of 290 while the U.S. Naval Academy won the meet with a score of 65 points. Moravian's top runner was senior Patrick Grogan, placing 47th of the 100 runners in a time of 27:52.0 on the 8,000-meter course. Junior Greg Rarick finished 57th in 28:22.0 while junior William Shimer was 60th at 28:35.0. Rounding out the top five for the Greyhounds were sophomore Jared Casciole at 77th with a time of 29:41.0 and junior Russell Zaleski in 80th place at 29:59.0. Also competing for Moravian were freshman Erik Boyer, who was 87th in 30:59.0, freshman Timothy Pagano, who placed 95th at 32:35.0, senior Aditya Kahanna, who was 98th in 36:01.0, and sophomore Eric Kratz, who placed 99th in a time of 37:15.0.

At Allegheny College Classic - 14th of 19 - Moravian Individual Results

Moravian placed 14th of 19 schools at the Allegheny College Classic in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the same course that will be used in November for the 2004 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional race. The Greyhounds had a team score of 390 while Carnegie Mellon University won the event with a score of 57 points. Senior Patrick Grogran paced the Greyhounds with a 44th place finish among the 206 competitors with a time of 28:07.0 on the 8,000-meter course. Junior Greg Rarick finished 55th in 28:22.0 while junior William Shimer was 102nd with a time of 29:20.0. Rounding out the top five for Moravian were junior Russell Zaleski at 130th in 30:03.00 and sophomore Jared Casciole in 151st place with a time of 330:52.0. Also competing for Moravian were freshman Timothy Pagano, who finished 173rd in 32:01.0, and senior Kahanna Aditya, who was 200th in 36:41.0.

At Mule/Falcon Classic at Cedar Crest College  - Cancelled

The Greyhounds second meet of the year, a trip to Allentown to compete in the Mule/Falcon Classic hosted by Muhlenberg College and Cedar Crest College, was cancelled due to heavy rain.

At 2004 Lehigh Valley Championships hosted by Lehigh University - Moravian Individual Results

The Moravian men's cross country team began the 2004 season with four individuals competing in the 2004 Lehigh Valley Championships hosted by Lehigh University on the Murray Goodman Campus. Senior Patrick Grogan led the Greyhound quartet with a 26th place finish on the 8,000-meter course with a time of 27:57.0. Junior Will Shimer was 36th in the 66-runner field with a time of 28:30.0 while junior Greg Rarick was 42nd in 28:57.0 and freshman Tim Pagano was 51st in 30:05.0.
