At 2005 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional
hosted by Dickinson College - 21st of 40 - Moravian
Individual Results
Moravian finished out its 2005 season with a 21st place finish of 40
teams at the 2005 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Dickinson
College. Haverford College won the meet with 36 points, and the Fords,
Carnegie Mellon University and Allegheny College all advanced to the
NCAA Division III National Championships at Ohio Wesleyan University
next weekend. Junior Josh Hunter led the Greyhounds with a 66th place
finish among the 279 runners with a time of 27:40.5 on the 8,000-meter
course. Sophomore Tim Pagano was 89th for Moravian in a time of 28:09.2
while junior Anthony Sarno was 139th overall in 29:01.4. Senior William
Shimer placed 159th in his final collegiate race with a time of 29:29.4
while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart was 171st in 29:41.8. Moravian's other
competitors were freshman Tim Murphy, placing 223 in 31:36.9, and junior
Eric Kratz, finishing 268th overall in a time of 37:51.9.
At 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships
hosted by Juniata College - 9th of 12 - Moravian
Individual Results
The Greyhounds placed ninth of 12 schools at the 2005 Middle Atlantic
Conference Championships hosted by Juniata College. Moravian had a team
score of 233 points while Elizabethtown College won the meet by one
point over Widener University with 40 points. Junior Josh Hunter led
the Greyhounds with a 30th place finish among the 134 runners on the
8,000-meter course in a time of 27:57.82. Junior Tim Pagano placed 46th
overall in 28:36.47 while senior William Shimer was 54th in a time of
28:56.18. Junior Anthony Sarno finished 65th in the meet at 29:22.34
while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart was 69th in a time of 29:35.08. Freshman
Tim Murphy recorded an 88th place finish in 30:31.45 while junior Eric
Kratz rounded out the Moravian competitors with a 132nd place finish
in a time of 38:18.07.
At DeSales University Invitational - 12th
of 23 - Moravian Individual Results
Moravian finished 12th of 23 schools at the DeSales University Invitational.
The Greyhounds had a team score of 351 while Frostburg State (MD) University
won the meet with 67 points. Junior Josh Hunter paced Moravian with
a 27th place finish on the 8,000-meter course in a time of 28:47.81,
which was 27th of the 233 competitors. Sophomore Tim Pagano placed 77th
in 29:50.65 while senior William Shimer took 96th place in a time of
30:25.74. Junior Anthony Sarno finished 107th at 30:43.87 while freshman
Jeremiah Reinhart took 117th place in 30:56.56. Freshman Tim Murphy
rounded out the Moravian runners with a 161st place finish in a time
of 32:30.92.
At Blue Jay Invitational hosted by Johns
Hopkins University - 10th of 15 - Moravian
Individual Results
The Greyhounds took tenth place of 15 schools at the Blue Jay Invitational
hosted by Johns Hopkins University at a rain-soaked Oregon Ridge Park.
Moravian had a team score of 245 points while Swarthmore College captured
first place in the meet with a score of 52 points. Junior Josh Hunter
led the Greyhounds with a 19th place finish among the 162 runners on
the 8,000-meter course in a time of 28:13.0. Senior William Shimer finished
41st with a time of 28:58.0 while sophomore Tim Pagano was 81st overall
in 30:21.0. Junior Anthony Sarno placed 90th for Moravian in a time
of 30:30 while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart was 95th in 30:44. Rounding
out the competitors for the Greyhounds were freshman Tim Murphy in 104th
place at 31:06.0 and junior Eric Kratz in 160th place with a time of
39:10.0.
At 2nd Annual Cougar Classic hosted by
College Misericordia - 3rd of 6 - Moravian
Individual Results
Moravian finished third of six teams at the 2nd Annual Cougar Classic
hosted by College Misericordia/ The Greyhounds posted a team score of
72 points while SUNY Delhi won the meet with a score of 21 points. Junior
Josh Hunter paced Moravian with a third place finish among the 52 runners
on the four mile course with a time of 22:42.0. Sophomore Tim Pagano
finished ninth in 23:25.0 for the Greyhounds while senior William Shimer
was 13th in 23:29.0. Junior Anthony Sarno placed 22nd in a time of 24:28.0
while freshman Jeremiah Reinhart rounded out the top five for Moravian
with a 25th place finish in 24:55.0. Freshman Tim Murphy rounded out
the Greyhound competitors with a 30th place showing in 25:34.0.
At Mule/Falcon Classic hosted by Muhlenberg
College - 4th of 11 - Moravian Individual
Results
The Greyhounds returned to action with a fourth place finish among
11 teams at the Mule/Falcon Classic hosted by Muhlenberg College on
the campus of Cedar Crest College. Moravian had a team score of 137
while Rowan (NJ) University won the race with a score of 37 points.
Junior Josh Hunter led the Greyhounds with a 16th place finish in a
time of 29:30.2 on the 8,000-meter course. Senior William Shimer placed
18th of the 97 competitors in a time of 29:40.50 while sophomore Tim
Pagano was 30th in 30:44.20. Also competing for the Greyhounds were
junior Anthony Sarno, who placed 35th in a time of 31:13.9, freshman
Jeremiah Reinhart, who took 47th place at 32:16, freshman Tim Murphy,
who was 56th in 33:10.7, and junior Eric Kratz, who placed 90th in a
time of 40:06.5.
At 2005 Lehigh Valley Championships hosted by
Lehigh University - 6th of 6 - Moravian
Individual Results
The Moravian men's cross country team began the 2005 season with a
sixth place finish at the Lehigh Valley Championships run on the 8,000-meter
course at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus. Moravian had 176 points
while host Lehigh won the meet with a score of 17 points. Sophomore
Tim Pagano led the Greyhounds with a 37th place finish in a time of
25:28.8 while junior Josh Hunter placed 45th of 77 runners in his first
meet for Moravian with a time of 29:02.9. Senior William Shimer took
47th place for the Greyhounds at 29:10.8 while junior Anthony Sarno
was 64th in a time of 30:58.5 in his first meet with the Greyhounds.
Freshman Jeremiah Reinhart began his collegiate career with a 66th place
finish in a time of 31:22.7 while freshman Tim Murphy placed 71st at
32:22.5.
