At 2006 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional
hosted by Waynesburg College - 23rd of 39 - Moravian
Individual Results
The Greyhounds closed out their 2006 season with a 23rd place finish
at the 2006 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Waynesburg
College. Moravian had a team score of 708 while Haverford College won
the meet with 51 points. Allegheny College was second with 54 points.
Junior Timothy Pagano led the Greyhounds individually, placing 67th
of 268 runners on the 8,000-meter course in a time of 28:17. Senior
Anthony Sarno was 132nd in a time of 29:32 in his final collegiate race
while classmate Josh Hunter placed 148th in 29:53. Sophomore Jeremiah
Reinhart finished 179th for the Greyhounds in a time of 30:36 while
freshman Steve DeFazio was 188th at 30:49. Rounding out the Greyhound
runners were freshman Tim Betz in 232nd place in a time of 32:40 and
sophomore John McCullough in 247th place at 34:02.
At 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships
hosted by DeSales University - 9th of 14 - Moravian
Individual Results
Moravian finished ninth of 14 schools at the 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference
Championships hosted by DeSales University. The Greyhounds posted a
team score of 238 while Elizabethtown College took the title with a
score of 57 points on the rain-soaked course. Senior Josh Hunter had
Moravian's top finish, placing 26th of 140 runners on the 8,000-meter
course in a time of 29:13.08. Junior Timothy Pagano was 33rd overall
for Moravian in 29:30.05 while senior Anthony Sarno took 56th place
in a time of 30:31.02. Sophomore Jeremiah Reinhart finished 70th in
the race in 30:53.97 while freshman Steve DeFazio was 85th in a time
of 32:10.76. Freshman Tim Betz placed 93rd in his first MAC Championship
race in 33:02.89 while sophomore John McCullough was 114th in 35:03.23
and senior Eric Kratz took 130th in 38:13.27.
At DeSales University Invitational - 12th
of 20 - Moravian Individual Results
The Greyhounds placed 12th of 20 schools at the DeSales University
Invitational in Moravian's final meet before the 2006 Middle Atlantic
Conference Championships, which will also be hosted by DeSales. Moravian
had a team score of 303 while Muhlenberg College won the meet with a
score of 45 points. Senior Josh Hunter paced the Greyhounds on the 8,000-meter
course with a time of 28:29.39 that placed him 41st of 191 runners.
Junior Timothy Pagano finished 51st in 28:45.32 while senior Anthony
Sarno was 80th overall in a time of 29:39.70. Sophomore Jeremiah Reinhart
placed 90th for the Greyhounds in 30:03.48 while freshman Steve DeFazio
was 91st in 30:04.09. Junior Daniel Adams finished in 135th place in
a time of 32:31.89 for Moravian while freshman Tim Betz was 138th in
32:35.73. Sophomore John McCullough, who was 160th in 34:48.65, and
senior Eric Kratz, who placed 17th in a time of 37:13.77, rounded out
the Moravian runners.
At College Misericordia Cougar Classic
- 2nd of 6 - Moravian Individual Results
Moravian was second of six schools at the College Misericordia Cougar
Classic with 40 points, ten points behind the host school Senior Josh
Hunter was first in the five-mile race with a time of 27:34 while junior
Timothy Pagano was third of 44 runners in 27:50. Senior Anthony Sarno
took 12th placed for the Greyhounds in a time of 29:11 while freshman
Steve DeFazio was 13th in 29:39 and sophomore Jeremiah Reinhart took
14th at 29:40. Junior Daniel Adams placed 30th in a time of 32:38 while
freshman Tim Betz was 31st in 32:41. Rounding out the Greyhound competitors
were sophomore John McCullough in 33rd place in a time of 34:10 and
senior Eric Kratz at 39th in 37:27.
At Mule/Falcon Classic - 2nd of 10 - Moravian
Individual Results
The Greyhounds placed second at the Mule/Falcon Classic hosted at Cedar
Crest College. Moravian had a team score of 76 points while DeSales
University won the meet with 29 points. Senior Josh Hunter led Moravian
with a fourth place finish on the 8,000-meter course in a time of 28:21.00.
Junior Timothy Pagano was eighth of the 94 runners in a time of 29:04.20
while senior Anthony Sarno finished 18th at 30:20.90. Sophomore Jeremiah
Reinhart was one spot back in 19th place in a time of 30:24.70 while
freshman Steve DeFazio placed 28th in 31:05.80. Rounding out Moravian's
runners were junior Daniel Adams in 57th place in a time of 34:32.50,
freshman Tim Betz at 58th in 34:35.40, sophomore John McCullough placing
64th in a time of 35:01.80 and senior Eric Kratz in 77th place in 38:42.00.
At Marywood University Labor Day Invitational
- 2nd of 7 - Moravian Individual Results
The Moravian men's cross country team began the 2006 season with a
second place finish at the Marywood University Labor Day Invitational.
The Greyhounds posted a team score of 45 points while College Misericordia
won the meet with a total of 27 points. Senior Josh Hunter paced Moravian
on the 8,000-meter course, placing third in a time of 28:36 while junior
Timothy Pagano was sixth in 28:56 for the Greyhounds. Freshman Steve
DeFazio was 11th of the 59 runners in a time of 30:10 and he was followed
by sophomore Jeremiah Reinhart in 12th place at 30:13 and senior Anthony
Sarno in 13th in a time of 30:24. Sophomore John McCullough finished
45th in 36:30 while senior Eric Kratz rounded out the Moravian runners
in 55th place in 40:26.
