At 2001 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships 2nd of 14
Moravian placed of 14 schools at the 2001 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at the Shawnee Country Club. The Greyhounds fired a team score of 991 with a 483 on day two of the tournament after being in fourth place after the first 27 holes. Sophomore Mike Hersch earned All-Conference honors with a seventh place finish with a 54-hole total of 241. Sophomore Jason Pozniak tied for 11th with a total of 247 while freshman Brian Kurylo had a 251 in his first MAC Championship. Junior Sean Carney and sophomore Sean Alden each had totals of 259

The Greyhounds are in fourth place of 14 schools after the first day of competition at the 2001 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at Shawnee Country Club. The 14 teams played 27 holes of the 54-hole tournament on the first day. Moravian freshman Brian Kurylo is ninth with a total of 123. The Greyhounds other competitors include sophomore Jason Pozniak with a 125, sophomore Mike Hersch with a 126, sophomore Sean Alden with a 134 and junior Sean Carney with a 138.
At Lehigh Valley Invitational 4th of 4
The Greyhounds finished fourth of four schools in the Lehigh Valley Invitational with a team score of 419. Lehigh University won the event with a five-man total of 397 while host Muhlenberg College and Lafayette College each had 419. The top Moravian individual on the par 70 course at the Lehigh Country Club was sophomore Mike Hersch with an 81. Junior Sean Carney was one stroke back with an 82 and freshman Brian Kurylo fired an 84. Sophomore Charles Tice had a round of 85 while sophomore Jason Pozniak and freshman Jamison Licausi each had 87. Sophomore Mike Schlamp rounded out the Moravian group with a score of 96.
At Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational 8th of 12
The Greyhounds finished eighth of 12 schools at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational at Glenmaura National Golf Club. Sophomore Mike Hersch tied for 14th with a two-round of 161 on the par 71 course. Sophomore Jason Pozniak fired a two-day score of 165 tied for 21st while junior Sean Carney tied for 48th with a 176. Rounding out the Greyhound competitors were sophomore Sean Alden with a score of 175, tied for 46th and sophomore Anthony Gill was disqualified after a first round score of 87.
At Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational 6th after first day
The Greyhounds are in sixth place of 12 schools after the first day of competition of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational at Glenmaura National Golf Club. Sophomore Mike Hersch is tied for sixth with a round of 77 on the par 71 course. Sophomore Jason Pozniak fired a round of 80 while junior Sean Carney had an 85. Rounding out the Greyhound competitors were sophomore Anthony Gill with a round of 87 and sophomore Sean Alden with a score of 92.
At King's College Invitational Cancelled
The Greyhounds were competing in the King's College Invitational when the tournament was cancelled after nine holes due to rain in the Wilkes-Barre area.
Vs. King's College with University of Scranton Lost 320-320 & Won 320-344
Moravian split a pair of matches at Saucon Valley Country Club, defeating the University of Scranton, 320-344 and falling to King’s College on the lower score of the individual golfers since both schools were tied at 320. King’s John Mikiewicz led all golfers with a one-over par round of 73 on the par 72 Weyhill Course. Moravian’s top golfer was sophomore Mike Hersch with a round of 77 while Scranton’s Bob Stott had a team-best round of 75 for the Royals. Other finishers for the Greyhounds were junior Sean Carney with a 79, sophomore Mike Schlamp with a round of 81, freshman Jamison Licausi with an 18-hole total of 83 and freshman Brian Kurylo with an 86.
At Ursinus College with Lebanon Valley College, DeSales University & Albright College Won 323-330-332-344-367
The Greyhounds earned four more victories in the five-team match at Ursinus College to move head coach John Makuvek within four wins of 300 in his career. Moravian had the lowest four-man total with a score of 323 while host Ursinus College had a 330, Lebanon Valley College posted a 332, DeSales University had a 344 and Albright College turned in a 367. Leading the Greyhound individuals were sophomores Mike Hersch and Mike Schlamp with rounds of 79. Sophomore Anthony Gill had an 82 while sophomore Charles Tice turned in an 83 and sophomore Sean Alden fired a round of 86.
At FDU-Madison with Centenary (NJ) College Won 331-361-375
Moravian opened the 2001 dual meet season with a pair of wins, defeating host FDU-Madison, 331-361, and topping Centenary (NJ) College, 331-375. Greyhound freshman Brian Kurylo led the team with a round of 78 while sophomore Jason Pozniak fired an 83. Sophomore Mike Schlamp turned in a round of 84 while junior Ricky Gower had an 86 and sophomore Charles Tice had an 87.
Moravian College Spring Invitational 3rd & 8th of 20 teams
The Greyhounds "A" team placed third and the "B" squad was was eighth of 20 schools in the annual Moravian College Spring Golf Invitational at Southmoore Golf Course. Sophomore Mike Hersch placed fifth on the par 71 course with a round of 76. Junior Sean Carney fired a 79 for the Greyhounds while sophomore Sean Alden had an 80. Sophomore Anthony Gill and freshman Jamison Licausi each had 18-hole totals of 81 while sophomore Mike Schlamp had an 83. Sophomore Charles Tice entered a round of 84 and freshman Brian Kurylo had an 85 in his first collegiate outing. Rounding out the Greyhound competitors were sophomore Jason Pozniak firing an 88 while junior Ricky Gower had a round of 91. At Susquehanna University Tee-Off Tournament – Postponed
The Greyhounds tournament at Susquehanna University was postponed until March 23rd due to rain. Moravian will not compete in the make-up date due to a conflict with its current schedule.
At York College Invitational – Postponed
The Greyhounds spring season opening tournament at York College was postponed until April 23rd due to the course not being open. Moravian will not compete in the make-up date due to a conflict with its current schedule.
At Muhlenberg College Fall Classic – 6th of 16 teams
Sophomore Mike Hersch tied for 11th with a round of 78 to lead Moravian to a team score of 328 and a sixth place finish in the Muhlenberg College Fall Classic. Sophomore Charles Tice was second for the Greyhounds with an 81 while junior Sean Carney had a round of 82. Junior Ricky Gower and sophomore Jason Pozniak each had 18-hole totals of 87 on the Lehigh Country Club Course, par 68.
At Franklin & Marshall Fall Golf Invitational 7th of 14 teams
Sophomore Mike Hersch tied for fourth with a round of 75 to lead Moravian to a seventh place showing at the Franklin & Marshall College Fall Golf Invitational with a team score of 323. Junior Sean Carney had a 79 on the day while sophomore Jason Pozniak added a round of 83. Sophomore Sean Alden had an 86 and freshman Jamison Licausi fired a 91 for the Greyhounds.
At Montclair State University Fall Classic 4th of 10 teams
Junior Sean Carney placed fifth with a round of 80 and was on shot out of first place to lead the Greyhounds to a fourth place team finish at the Montclair State University Fall Classic with a team score of 341. Sophomores Mike Hersch and Mike Schlamp each fired 86 on the afternoon while sophomore Jason Pozniak had a round of 89. Junior Ricky Gower rounded out the Moravian five with a total of 93. The tournament was played at the Crestmont Country Club in West Orange, NJ.
At Susquehanna Invitational Tied for 5th of 18 teams
Sophomore Mike Hersch tied for ninth with a round of 79 and junior Ricky Gower was tied for 11th with a score of 80 to lead Moravian to a tie for fifth place in the Susquehanna University Fall Golf Classic. The outing was played at the Edgewood-in- the-Pines course in central Pennsylvania. Sophomores Jason Pozniak and Sean Alden tied for 52nd with rounds of 89 while sophomore Mike Schlamp rounded out the Moravian five with a score of 90 over the 18 holes.
At Moravian Fall Invitational 2nd & 3rd of 20 teams
The Greyhound "A" team placed second and the "B" team was was third in the annual Moravian College Fall Golf Invitational at Southmoore Golf Course. Sophomore Mike Hersch placed second on the par 71 course with a round of 75. Senior Kevin Lewis fired a 77, which was good for sixth place, while sophomore Jason Pozniak and junior Sean Carney tied for seventh with rounds of 78. Junior Ricky Gower finished the 18 holes with a score of 79 while sophomore Mike Schlamp had an 81 and sophomore Anthony Gill had an 82. Freshman Jamison Licausi and sophomore Sean Alden rounded out the Greyhounds' competitors with scores of 83 and 86 respectively.
