At 2005 Commonwealth Conference Championships – 2nd of 7

Moravian placed second of seven schools at the 2005 Commonwealth Conference Championship being played on the East Course at the Hershey Country Club. The Greyhounds posted a team score of 648 in the 36-hole tournament, one stroke behind champion Albright College. This is the first year of the Commonwealth Conference Tournament after competing for years in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship. Greyhound freshman Bryan Ott finished second of 35 golfers in the tournament with a two-day total of 157. Ott played in a playoff with Ryan Ogurcak of Lebanon Valley College for medalist honors; however, Ott hit the water twice on the playoff hole. Ott had a second round score of 78 on the par 71 course. Junior Dustin McCormick finished fourth with a two-day score of 159 after an 83 on the second day. Both Ott & McCormick earned spots on the All-Conference First Team, and Ott was named the Commonwealth Conference Rookie of the Year. Sophomore Brian Bergstol finished in a tie for 12th place with a tournament score of 165 after a second round score of 82. Sophomore Thad Miller was tied for 20th at 170 after a second 18-hole round of 88 while junior John Donofrio finished in a tie for 26th with a two-day score of 171. Donofrio had an 85 on the second day of the tournament.

At 2005 Commonwealth Conference Championships – Tied for 2nd of 7 after first day

The Greyhounds have a team score of 320 and are tied for second place after the first round of the 2005 Commonwealth Conference Championships being played on the East Course at the Hershey Country Club. Susquehanna University is in first place with a team score of 316 while Moravian is tied with Albright College for second. Greyhound junior Dustin McCormick is currently in first place of the 35 golfers after a round of 76 on the par 71 course. Freshman Bryan Ott is tied for sixth with a first round score of 79 while sophomore Thad Miller is tied for 14th after an 82. Sophomore Brian Bergstol sits in 20th place after an 18-hole total of 83 on the first day of competition while junior John Donofrio is tied for 23rd after a round of 86.

At Ursinus College Quad Match – 2nd of 3 (322)

Moravian had a team score of 322 to place second at the Ursinus College Quad match played at the Stonewall Country Club. The Greyhounds were one stroke behind Swarthmore College while DeSales University was third at 341. The host Bears had just three golfers and failed to record a team score. Freshman Matt Hegarty led Moravian with a round of 78 on the par-70 course, which placed second of the 19 golfers. Junior Dustin McCormick was tied for fourth with a round of 80 while freshman Eric Whitman was tied for eighth with an 82. Rounding out the Moravian group were junior Scott Severino with an 86, freshman Brian Scofield with a round of 90, junior Andrew Styer with a 92 and sophomore John Gilbert with a round of 95. Hegarty and Styer were each competing for the first time this season for the Greyhounds.

At Lehigh Valley Cup hosted by Muhlenberg College – 2nd of 4

Moravian placed second of four teams at the 2005 Lehigh Valley Cup hosted by Muhlenberg College at the Lehigh Country Club. The Greyhounds had a team score of 404, seven strokes behind NCAA Division I Lehigh University and four strokes ahead of NCAA Division I Lafayette College. Moravian also finished 23 strokes ahead of the host Mules to earn a point in Matte Award Standings, which Muhlenberg still leads 10-6. Sophomore Brian Bergstol led the Greyhounds with a round of 78 on the par 70 course to place fourth of the 27 golfers. Junior John Donofrio was sixth with an 18-hole total of 80 while junior Dustin McCormick and freshmen Bryan Ott and Brian Scofield each tied for seventh with rounds of 82. Senior Todd Solecitto was tied for 18th with a round of 85 while sophomore Thad Miller finished in a tie for 20th with a score of 86.

At Franklin & Marshall College Invitational – 3rd of 14

The Greyhounds placed third of 14 schools at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational played at the Bent Creek Country Club. Moravian had a team score of 318, 11 strokes behind the host Diplomats. Junior Dustin McCormick led the Greyhounds with a round of 77 on the par-72 course, which placed him seventh of 75 golfers. Junior John Donofrio was tied for ninth with a score of 78 while sophomore Brian Bergstol, junior Scott Severino and freshman Brian Scofield all tied for 30th with rounds of 82.

At Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Scranton – 1st of 12

Moravian finished first of 12 teams at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational being hosted by the University of Scranton at the Glenmaura National Golf Course. Moravian had a team score of 609 during the two-day tournament, six strokes ahead of Susquehanna University. Sophomore Brian Bergstol fired a round of 73 on the second day, which was the third lowest round of the day and gave Bergstol a two-day total of 140, placing him second among the 60 golfers. Bergstoll was just one shot out of first place for the tournament. Junior Dustin McCormick was tied for 11th after the second 18 holes with a two-day score of 154. McCormick had a round of 77 on the par 71 course during the second round. Freshman Bryan Ott tied for 13th in the tournament with a 36-hole total of 155 after a round of 76 on Sunday while sophomore Thad Miller was tied for 30th with a total score of 160 after firing an 18-hole total of 81 on the second day of the tournament. Senior Todd Solecitto placed 48th overall with a score of 174 after a round of 91 on the second day.

At Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Scranton – 1st of 12 after first day

The Greyhounds were in first place of 12 teams at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational being hosted by the University of Scranton at the Glenmaura National Golf Course. Moravian had a team score of 302, four strokes ahead of McDaniel College. Sophomore Brian Bergstol fired a four-under par round of 67 on the first day to lead the tournaments 60 golfers. Junior Dustin McCormick was tied for 11th after the first 18 holes with a round of 77 on the par 71 course while freshman Bryan Ott and sophomore Thad Miller were tied for 22nd with rounds of 79. Senior Todd Solecitto rounded out the Moravian five with a round of 83 on the first day of the tournament, which tied him for 34th place.

At Mid-Atlantic Regional Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester – 9th of 15

Moravian finished ninth of 15 teams at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club. Moravian had a team score of 656 while Allegheny College won the tournament with a score of 611 over the two-day, 36-hole invitational. The tournament has 15 of the top programs in the region and will help determine the field for this year's NCAA Division III Championships. Freshman Bryan Ott led the Greyhounds with a two-day total of 164, which tied for 30th of the 74 golfers. Ott had a round of 86 on the second day. Sophomore Thad Miller was tied for 35th place in the tournament with a total of 165 after a second round score of 85. Sophomore Brian Bergstol and junior Dustin mcCormick each had tournament totals of 166 to tie for 41st place. Bergstol had an 81 on the second day while McCormick had a second round score of 86. Senior Todd Solecitto rounded out the Moravian five with a two-day score of 167, which was tied for 46th. Solecitto finished the tournament with a round of 81.

At Mid-Atlantic Regional Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester – 9th of 15 after first day

The Greyhounds were in ninth place of 15 teams at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Invitational being hosted by the University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club. Moravian had a team score of 323, 19 shots off the lead set by Allegheny College. The tournament has 15 of the top programs in the region and will help determine the field for this year's NCAA Division III Championships. Freshman Bryan Ott led the Greyhounds with a round of 78 on the par 72 course, which tied him for 11th after the first day of competition. Sophomore Thad Miller and junior Dustin McCormick were tied for 27th after the first round with scores of 80 while sophomore Brian Bergstol was tied for 52nd after a round of 85. Senior Todd Solecitto posted a first round score of 86 to tie for 57th place.

At Elizabethtown College Spring Blue Jay Classic – 3rd of 14

Moravian placed third of 14 teams at the Elizabethtown College Spring Blue Jay Classic played at the Hershey Country Club with a team score of 308. The Greyhounds were two strokes behind Gettysburg College and Susquehanna University, which tied for first with team totals of 306. Sophomore Brian Bergstol led Moravian with a round of 74 on the par 72 course, which tied for fourth. Junior Dustin McCormick fired a round of 76 to tie for ninth place of 76 golfers while freshman Bryan Ott and senior Todd Solecitto each had rounds of 79, which tied for 19th. Junior John Donofrio round out the Moravian five with an 18-hole total of 84 that was tied for 51st.

At Lebanon Valley College Invitational – 1st of 15

The Greyhounds won their fifth straight tournament, earning first place honors at the Lebanon Valley College Spring Golf Tournament played at the Lebanon Country Club with a team score of 330. The Greyhounds won by four strokes over runner-up Dickinson College in the 16-team tournament on the par 72 course. Sophomore Brian Bergstol led Moravian with a round of 77, which was good enough for second place. Freshman Bryan Ott tied for sixth with an 18-hole total of 81 while sophomore Thad Miller and senior Todd Solecitto tied for 29th of 77 golfers with rounds of 86. Junior Dustin McCormick rounded out the Greyhounds’ five-member team with a score of 91, which was tied for 50th.

Moravian College Spring Invitational – 1st & 8th of 18

Moravian won its fourth straight invitational of the 2004-05 season, and its spring season opening tournament by shooting a low round of 297 by the Moravian Grey team at the Annual Moravian College Spring Invitational at Southmoore Golf Course in Bath. Delaware Valley College was second with a team total of 302 while Moravian's Blue Team was eighth with a team score of 319. Freshman Bryan Ott, playing on the Grey team, earned medalist honors for the Greyhounds with a round of 71 on the par 71 course. Ott was tied with Lou Shutts of Delaware Valley but earned the medalist honors on the third tiebreaker, score over the last nine holes. Ott had a 35 on the back nine while Shutts had a 36. Senior Todd Solecitto was tied for fifth with a round of 74 for the Grey squad while sophomore Brian Bergstol tied for eighth with a 75. Rounding out the Grey team for Moravian was sophomore Thad Miller in a tie for 14th place with a round of 77 and junior Dustin McCormick tied for 66th with an 86. For the Blue team, freshman Eric Whitman fired a round of 75 to tie for eighth place while junior John Donofrio was tied for 24th with an 18-hole total of 78. At York College Invitational – Cancelled

Moravian was scheduled to open its 2005 spring season at the York (PA) College Invitational on Monday, March 21st, however, the tournament was cancelled due to the Out Door Country Club being unsuitable for play. The Greyhounds will begin their spring season now on Friday, April 1st when the team hosts the Annual Moravian Spring Invitational at Southmoore Golf Course in Bath.

At East Stroudsburg University Fall Invitational – 1st of 10

Moravian closed out the fall portion of its schedule with a first place finish at the ten-team East Stroudsburg University Fall Invitational played at the Shawnee Country Club. The Greyhounds had a team score of 305, five strokes ahead of runner-up Rutgers University-Camden. Moravian sophomore Brian Bergstol earned medalist honors with a round of 73 on the par 71 course. Junior Dustin McCormick tied for sixth of the 48 golfers with an 18-hole total of 75 while senior Todd Solecitto had a round of 78 for the Greyhounds in his first outing of the year. Freshman Bryan Ott fired a 79 to place 13th while freshman Brian Scofield rounded out the Moravian competitors with a round of 87, which tied for 33rd.

At Muhlenberg College Fall Invitational – 1st of 11

The Greyhounds fired a team score of 315 to win the Muhlenberg College Fall Invitational played at the Lehigh Country Club by 15 strokes over the runner-up and host Mules. Sophomore Thad Miller paced the Greyhounds with a round of 76 on the par-70 course, which was fourth after a tiebreaker on the 18th hole, while freshman Bryan Ott had an 18-hole total of 78 to place fifth. Sophomore Brian Bergstol finished sixth with a score of 79 while sophomore John Gilbert had a round of 82 to tie for eighth among the 54 golfers in the tournament. Junior Dustin McCormick rounded out the Moravian golfers with an 18-hole total of 85, which tied for 13th.

At Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational – 1st of 19

Moravian won the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational at the Lebanon Country Club on a tiebreaker with York College of Pennsylvania. Both schools had totals of 306 but the Greyhounds had the lower score by their fifth player to win the 19-team tournament. Sophomore Brian Bergstol and junior Dustin McCormick led Moravian with rounds of 74 to tie for third place among the 97 golfers on the par 72 course. Freshman Bryan Ott tied for seventh with a round of 75 while freshman Brian Scofield was tied for 51st with an 18-hole total of 83. Sophomore John Gilbert ended up having the tiebreaker score for Moravian with a round of 84 that tied for 58th. York's fifth golfer had an 87.

At Susquehanna University Fall Invitational – 8th of 15

The Greyhounds finished eighth of 15 teams at the Susquehanna University Fall Invitational played at the Edgewood-in-the-Pines Golf Course. Moravian had a team score of 324 while Susquehanna's A Team won the event with a total of 302. Moravian junior Dustin McCormick earned medalist honors with a one under par round of 71 on the par 72 course. McCormick won the top honors on a tiebreaker that went to the 15th hole. Sophomore Brian Bergstol tied for 30th of the 74 competitors with a round of 81 while junior John Donofrio was tied for 40th at 83. Junior Scott Severino tied for 55th after an 18-hole total of 89 while freshman Brian Scofield tied for 63rd with a round of 91.

Moravian College Fall Invitational – 4th & 6th of 19

The Moravian Blue Team took fourth place with a score of 306 and the Moravian Grey team finished sixth with a total of 313 at the annual Moravian College Fall Invitational played at Southmoore Golf Course. Sophomore Brian Bergstol led the Blue team with a round of 70 on the par 71 course to place second of the 93 golfers. Sophomore John Gilbert tied for 21st with a 78 while junior Dustin McCormick and freshman Bryan Ott each had rounds of 79 to tie for 26th for the Blue Team. Sophomore Thad Miller led the Moravian Grey squad with a round of 75, which was 12th, while sophomore Matthew Tomasic tied for 18th with a 78. Junior Scott Severino tied for 37th with an 80 while junior John Donofrio was tied for 46th with an 81 and freshman Brian Scofield rounded out the Moravian line-up with an 82, which tied for 51st. The Greyhounds placed third of 15 teams with a team score of 303 at the Elizabethtown College Fall Blue Jay Classic played on the par 72 Hershey Country Club course. Sophomore Brian Bergstol led Moravian with a round of 72, which was fifth among the 87 golfers. Junior Dustin McCormick was tied for sixth with a round of 73 while sophomore John Gilbert fired a 76 to tie for 19th. Rounding out the Moravian five were freshman Bryan Ott with an 82, which tied for 51st, and sophomore Thad Miller with an 87 to tie for 75th.

At Franklin & Marshall College Fall Invitational – 6th of 17

Moravian began its 2004-05 season with a sixth place finish out of 17 teams with a score of 309 at the Franklin & Marshall College Fall Invitational, played on the par 72 Bent Creek Country Club course. Sophomore Brian Bergstol led the Greyhounds with a round of 73, which tied for seventh of the 85 golfers while junior Dustin McCormick fired an 18-hole total of 77, which was tied for 21st. Rounding out the Moravian top five were sophomore Thad Miller with a 79 that tied for 27th, freshman Bryan Ott tied for 33rd with an 80 and sophomore Matthew Tomasic with a round of 91 for 72nd place.
