Host Landmark Conference Finals – 1st of 3

The Greyhounds closed out the 2008-09 season with a first place finish of three schools at the Landmark Conference Finals hosted by Moravian at the Saucon Valley Country Clun. The Greyhounds had a five-man team score of 303 while The University of Scranton posted a 333 and the United States Merchant Marine Academy had a score of 373. Individually, sophomores Lucas Smith and Seth Hartman each had rounds of 73, just one over par on the par 72 Weyhill Course to tie for first. Freshman John Dimler was third of 18 golfers with a round of 79 while freshman Robert McKay tied for fourth with an 81. Junior Alan Kliewer was sixth with an 18-hole total of 82 while junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini tied for eighth with an 84.

At DeSales University with Centenary College – Won 322-369-384

Moravian earned a pair of victories in a tri-match with DeSales University and Centenary College hosted by DeSales at the Bookside Country Club. The Greyhounds had a team score of 322 while the host Bulldogs had a 369 and Centenary recorded a team total of 384. Freshman John Dimler was first of the 14 golfers with a round of 77 on the par 71 course for Moravian. Sophomore Lucas Smith had a round of 79 while freshman Scott Stires fired an 82. Junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini and freshman Sam Stires each had rounds of 84 for the Greyhounds.

At Lehigh Valley Collegiate Cup hosted by Muhlenberg College – 4th of 4

The Greyhounds placed fourth of four schools at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Cup hosted by Muhlenberg College at the Lehigh Country Club. Moravian had a team score of 392 while Lehigh University was first with a 383. Lafayette College was second with a team total of 388 while the host Mules were third at 389. Greyhounds sophomore Lucas Smith placed first of the 28 golfers with a one-over par round of 71 on the par 70 course. Junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini was tied for ninth with a round of 78 while junior Alan Kliewer finished 16th with an 80. Sophomore Seth Hartman was 17th with an 18-hole total of 81 while freshman John Dimler and sophomore Robert McKay tied for 18th with rounds of 82. Freshman Sam Stires rounded out the Moravian golfers with a round of 92.

At Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational hosted by The University of Scranton – Tied for 5th of 12 - Second Round Cancelled

Moravian finished in a tie for fifth place of 12 schools after the second round of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational being hosted by The University of Scranton was cancelled due to weather. Moravian had a first day score of 314, which was tied with Muhlenberg College and Susquehanna University, while York College of Pennsylvania finished in first place with a 308. Individually, sophomore Seth Hartman tied fir eighth of the 58 golfers in the tournament with an opening round of 76 on the par 71 course. Freshman John Dimler tied for 16th after a 78 while sophomore Lucas Smith tied for 20th with a 79 in the opening round. At DeSales University with Ursinus College – Postponed to April 30th

Moravian's tri-match with DeSales University and Ursinus College scheduled to be played at Brookside Country Club has been cancelled due to the weather. The match has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 30th at 1:00 p.m.

At Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College – Tied for 2nd of 16

The Greyhounds finished in a tie for second, two strokes off of the lead at the Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College at the Bent Creek Country Club. Moravian and Wesley College each had scores of 308 while the host Diplomats fired a team score of 306. Sophomore Seth Hartman paced the Greyhound individuals with a three-over par round of 74 on the par 71 course that tied him for sixth of 87 golfers. Sophomores Robert McKay and Lucas Smith each tied for 14th with rounds of 77 while freshman John Dimler was tied for 35th with an 80. Junior Alan Kliewer fired an 83, which tied him for 49th place.

At Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Classic – Tied for 4th of 19

Moravian finished in a three-way tie for fourth place of 19 teams at the Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Classic competed at the Hershey Country Club East Course. The Greyhounds, Cabrini College and host Elizabethtown all had team scores of 316 while York College of Pennsylvania won the tournament with a team total of 312. Junior Alan Kliewer and sophomore Robert McKay paced the Greyhounds individually, both tying for third place of 98 golfers with rounds of 75 on the par 71 course. Sophomore Lucas Smith was tied for 18th with a 79 while junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini was tied for 67th with a round of 87. Freshman John Dimler tied for 74th with an 88.

At Mid-Atlantic Region Invitational hosted by The University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club – 14th of 15

The Greyhounds placed 14th of 15 schools at the Mid-Atlantic Region Invitational hosted by The University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club. Moravian had a two-day score of 653 while Carnegie Mellon University won the tournament with a score of 614, breaking a tie with Washington & Jefferson College on a fifth man score. Sophomore Robert McKay led the Greyhounds, finishing in a tie for 38th of the 75 golfers with a two-day score of 162 after a second round of 86. Freshman John Dimler had Moravian's lowest second round of 78 to finish tied for 42nd at 163 while sophomore Lucas Smith was tied for 50th with a two-day total of 165 after an 80 in the second round. Sophomore Seth Hartman tied for 57th place with a 167 including an 84 on the second day of the tournament while junior Alan Kliewer was tied for 61st with a 168 after a second round of 82.

At Mid-Atlantic Region Invitational hosted by The University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club – 14th of 15 after First Day

Moravian finally began its 2009 spring season with the first round of the Mid-Atlantic Region Invitational being hosted by the University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club. The Greyhounds are in 14th place of 15 schools with a team score of 329 after the first day while Washington & Jefferson College is in first place with a score of 304. Moravian sophomore Robert McKay is tied for sixth of the 75 golfers with an opening round of 76 on the par 71 course while sophomore Seth Hartman is tied for 47th with an 83. Sophomore Lucas Smith and freshman John Dimler are tied for 59th after opening rounds of 85 while junior Alan Kliewer is tied for 64th with an 86.

Moravian Spring Invitational – Cancelled

Moravian has cancelled its Annual Spring Invitational at Southmoore Golf Course due to weather including expected strong winds and thunderstorms during the round. The tournament will not be rescheduled this year.

At Cyclone Invitational hosted by Centenary College – 1st of 9 (tournament not completed)

Moravian was declared the team champion of the Cyclone Invitational hosted by Centenary College at the Panther Valley Country Club after the tournament was called due to darkness after only 15 holes had been completed. The Greyhounds had a team score of +28 after 15 holes while Rutgers "A" team was a +42. Moravian sophomore Robert McKay was named the medalist after being +5 after 15 holes while sophomore Lucas Smith was declared the runner-up at +6. The Greyhounds' other golfers included freshman John Dimler at +7, junior Alan Kliewer at +10 and freshman Thomas Fenyak at +16.

At The Invitational Tournament hosted by Muhlenberg College – 7th of 12

The Greyhounds placed seventh of 12 schools at the two-day Invitational Tournament hosted by Muhlenberg College. Moravian had a team score of 332 on the second day played at the Lehigh Country Club, falling from fourth palce after the first day of competition. Trinity College won the tournament with a two-day team score of 611 while Moravian posted a score of 651. Sophomore Seth Hartman led the Greyhounds with a 36-hole total of 158, which was tied for ninth of the 64 golfers, after turning in an 80 on the par 70 Lehigh Country Club course. Sophomore Lucas Smith was tied for 16th with a total score of 161 after also shooting an 80 in the second round. Sophomore Robert McKay and freshmen Thomas Fenyak and John Dimler all tied for 36th plays with scores of 167 for the tournament. McKay and Dimler each had rounds of 86 on the second day while Fenyak finished with an 88.

At The Invitational Tournament hosted by Muhlenberg College – 4th of 12 after first day

Moravian is in fourth place of four schools after the first day of the Invitational Tournament being hosted by Muhlenberg College. The Greyhounds had a team score of 319 on the first day that was played at the Center Valley Club while Trinity College is in first place with a team total of 300. Sophomore Seth Hartman led Moravian on the first day of the tournament with a round of 78 on the par 72 course, placing him in a tie for 14th of the 64 golfers. Freshman Thomas Fenyak is tied for 17th with an opening round of 79 while freshman John Dimler and sophomores Lucas Smith and Robert McKay are all tied for 25th after shooting rounds of 81. The second day of the tournament will be played at the Lehigh Country Club.

At Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College – 4th of 17

The Greyhounds placed fourth of 17 teams at the Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College at the Bent Creek Country Club. Moravian posted a team score of 317, one stroke behind Wesley College and Rutgers-Camden. The host Diplomats were first with a team total of 297. Greyhound sophomore Lucas Smith was third overall after a tiebreaker with a round of 74 on the par 71 course. Freshman John Dimler tied for 17th of the 92 golfers with an 18-hole total of 79 while sophomore Seth Hartman tied for 20th with a round of 80. Junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini was tied for 48th with an 84 while junior Alan Kliewer was tied for 54th with a round of 85 for the Greyhounds.

At Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Classic – 2nd of 12

Freshman John Dimler fired a two-over par round of 74 to earn medalist honors and lead Moravian to a second place of 12 teams finish at the 2008 Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Classic at the Hershey Links. The Greyhounds had a team score of 314, nine strokes behind tournament champion Franklin & Marshall College and just one stroke ahead of third place Dickinson College. Dimler’s 74 led the field of 60 golfers by one stroke while freshman Thomas Fenyak and junior Alan Kliewer each tied for 12th with rounds of 79.  Sophomore Lucas Smith tied for 22nd with an 18-hole total of 82 strokes for Moravian while sophomore Seth Hartman tied with 47th after carding an 88.

At Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational – 5th of 21

Moravian placed fifth of 21 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational played at the Lebanon Country Club with a team score of 299, just four strokes behind winner Cabrini College. Sophomore Lucas Smith led the Greyhounds, placing fourth of the 108 golfers with an even-par round of 72.  Freshman John Dimler was sixth overall, also with a 72 while sophomore Seth Hartman tied for 23rd with a round of 76.  Rounding out the Moravian line-up were freshman Thomas Fenyak, who tied for 42nd with an 18-hole total of 79, and sophomore Robert McKay, who tied for 57th with an 82.

Host Moravian College Fall Invitational – 3rd & 12th of 20 - Complete Results

The Greyhounds had their "White" team place third and the "Blue" squad take 12th of 20 teams at the Annual Moravian College Fall Invitational played at Southmoore Golf Course. Cabrini College won the team title with a score of 303 while Rutgers-Camden was second with a total of 307. Moravian's "White" team and King's College both had scores of 311 but the Greyhounds finished in third with a lower fifth-man score. The Moravian "Blue" team had a total of 327. Mike Kane of King's College won the medalist honors with a one-under par round of 70 to lead the 98 golfers in the tournament. Sophomore Seth Hartman led Moravian's "White" squad with a round of 74, tying for third place while junior Alan Kliewer was tied for tenth with a 76. Rounding out the "White" team were sophomore Robert McKay tying for 27th with a 79, freshman John Dimler tying for 42nd with an 18-hole score of 82 and sophomore Lucas Smith finishing in a tie for 51st with a round of 83. Freshman Tom Fenyak led the "Blue" team with a round of 76 to tie for tenth while freshman Sam Stires tied for 42nd with an 82, junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini tied for 58th with a round of 84 and freshman Scott Stires tied for 66th with an 85.

At Albright College with Delaware Valley College – Won 383-417-418

Moravian began its 2008-09 season with a pair of victories in a tri-match at the Berkshire Country Club hosted by Albright College. The Greyhounds defeated the host Lions 383 to 417, and Moravian also defeated Delaware Valley College, 383 to 418. Individually for the Greyhounds, junior Alan Kliewer began the season with a round of 73 on the par 71 course, which was second of the 21 golfers, while sophomores Robert McKay and Lucas Smith each had rounds of 74. Freshman John Dimler began his collegiate career with a round of 78 while junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini and freshman Scott Stires each carded rounds of 84. Junior Doug Miller rounded out the Moravian line-up with an 18-hole total of 98.
