The 2009-10 Moravian College Golf team, under the direction of co-head coaches John Makuvek and Kevin Edwards, looks for the program to continue competing with the top teams in the region and its first season as an associate member of the Empire 8 Conference.
The Greyhounds placed first out of three teams competing in the Landmark Conference Tournament played at Saucon Valley Country Club’s Weyhill Course. Moravian also won two tournaments on the season and placed in the top five in ten of 12 tournaments. The Greyhounds posted a 4-0 record by winning two tri-matches.
Leading the Greyhounds will be junior Lucas Smith (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing HS), who finished the 2008-09 season with an average of 77.9 including a season low round of 71 at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Tournament which earned him first place.
