Moravian closed out the 2005 season with a 17-1 loss to Messiah College in a Middle Atlantic Conference match played at Lehigh University's Ulrich Turf Field. The Falcons led 8-0 at the end of the first quarter, 14-0 at halftime and 17-0 after the third quarter. The Greyhound's long goal came with just 43 seconds left in the match when sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti found the back of the cage off a pass from sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld. Sophomore midfielder T.J. Hirsch led Moravian with six ground balls, and he won two face-offs. Freshman goalie Peter Coutros had 18 saves in 45 minutes of action while freshman keeper Peter Schenenman had two saves in the final quarter.

The Greyhounds won their second straight Middle Atlantic Conference match and the team's third MAC win of the season, rallying from an 8-2 halftime deficit to defeat Drew University, 11-10 in overtime. The win was Moravian's sixth of the season and third in its last four matches. The Rangers jumped out to a 6-2 lead during the first quarter, and Drew held an 8-2 halftime advantage. The Greyhounds would cut the lead to 9-6 after the third quarter, and Moravian out-scored Drew, 4-1, in the fourth quarter to tie the match. Freshman attack Scott Jackson scored the game-winning goal for the Greyhounds with 2:34 remaining in the 4-minute overtime session. Jackson finished the contest with three goals while sophomore attack Daniel Larson also had three goals. Sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti added two goals for the Greyhounds while sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld, sophomore midfielder Ken Blom and freshman midfielder Shane Doucette each found the back of the cage once in the victory. Quedenfeld's goal came with no time remaining on the clock at the end of the fourth quarter to tie the match and force overtime. Quedenfeld led Moravian with three assists including one on Jackson's game-winning goal while Blom and freshmen midfielders Brandon Keiper and Aaron Satterfield each had an assist. Blom won six face-offs for the Greyhounds while sophomore midfielder T.J. Hirsch grabbed a team high seven ground balls. Freshman goalie Peter Coutros had 15 saves for Moravian as the Greyhounds doubled their win total from the 2004 season when the squad won three matches in its debut season.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the first quarter, and Moravian led 5-2 at halftime. The Greyhounds extended their lead to 7-3 at the end of the third quarter. Sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti led Moravian with three goals while sophomore midfielder Ken Blom and freshman attack Scott Jackson each found the back of the cage twice. Sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld scored one goal for the Greyhounds and dished out five assists while sophomore midfielder Tristan Flis and freshman midfielder Shane Doucette each netted goals for Moravian. Junior defender Greg Hawzen picked up his first career point with an assist on Flis' goal. Blom led the Greyhounds with five ground balls and six face-off wins while sophomore midfielder T.J. Hirsch had four ground balls and won three face-offs. Freshman goalie Peter Coutros made a career high 19 saves in the victory.

The Greyhounds dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference match to Widener University, 21-5, in a contest played at Moravian Academy's North Campus. The Pioneers took a quick 1-0 lead but Moravian would tie the match. However, Widener led 5-2 at the end of the first quarter and out-scored the Greyhounds 5-0 in the second quarter to take a 10-2 lead. Widener had a 19-3 advantage at the end of three quarters. Freshman attack Scott Jackson scored two goals for Moravian while sophomore attacks Daniel Larson and Clint Quedenfeld and freshman midfielder Shane Doucette each found the back of the cage once. The Greyhounds, who are in their second season as a varsity sport at Moravian, jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first quarter and led 9-4 at halftime. Moravian kept its five-goal lead through the third quarter with a 13-8 edge. Sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti led the Greyhounds with five goals while sophomore attack Daniel Larson added three goals and three assists. Sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld found the back of the cage twice to go with six assists while freshman attack Scott Jackson netted a pair of goals for Moravian. Sophomore midfielders Ken Blom and T.J. Hirsch and freshman midfielder Aaron Satterfield all scored one goal for the Greyhounds. Blom and Hirsch each won seven face-offs while freshman defender Brandon Keiper led Moravian with five ground balls. Quedenfeld, Blom and Satterfield each contributed four ground balls. The Greyhounds suffered their third straight loss, falling to York (PA) College, 18-8, in a non-conference match played at Moravian Academy's North Campus. Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead but would trail 4-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Spartans had a 7-4 halftime lead before taking control of the match with nine goals in the third quarter. Sophomore attack Daniel Larson led the Greyhounds with four goals while sophomore midfielder Ken Blom found the back of the cage twice. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 7-4 lead after the first quarter but the Bulldogs rallied to tie the match at halftime, 9-9. DeSales would pull away in the third quarter for a 13-12 lead. Moravian would tie the match at 14-14 before DeSales scored the winning goal. Moravian jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead but trailed 4-1 at the end of the first quarter and 8-2 at halftime. Lycoming would extend its lead to 13-4 after three quarters. The Warriors had a 37-25 edge in shots and a 58-43 advantage in ground balls. Lycoming also won 15 of 27 face-offs in the match. Sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld led the Greyhounds with two goals and three assists while sophomore midfielder Ken Blom had two goals. Freshman attack Scott Jackson netted a goal and an assist for Moravian while sophomore midfielder TJ Hirsch had a goal. Moravian was playing without two of its starters due to injuries. Moravian snapped a two-match losing streak with a 21-8 victory at Neumann College in non-conference action. The Greyhounds led 5-4 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 13-6 at halftime. Moravian would out-score the Knights 5-1 in the third quarter for an 18-7 lead, and Moravian tacked on three more goals in the final 15 minutes. Sophomore attack Daniel Larson led the Greyhounds with six goals, and he added an assist while sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld had a goal and ten assists to lead Moravian with 11 points in the match. Freshman attack Scott Jackson found the back of the cage five times for Moravian while sophomore midfielder T.J. Hirsch added three goals. Sophomore midfielder Ken Blom and sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti each had two goals for the Greyhounds while freshman midfielder Shane Doucette and sophomore midfielder Tristan Flis each scored a goal. The match was tied at 3-3 after the first quarter and the Greyhounds had a 7-6 halftime advantage. Moravian led 10-9 after three quarters, and the Greyhounds had an 11-9 lead early in the fourth quarter before Susquehanna scored four of the final five goals in the match. The Crusaders had a 45-25 advantage in shots, a 62-45 edge in ground balls and a 21-8 advantage in face-off wins. Sophomore attacks Daniel Larson and Clint Quedenfeld led Moravian with three goals and three assists apiece. Sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti had two goals and an assist while sophomore midfielder Ken Blom had three assists for the Greyhounds. The Devils jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Greyhounds would score. Moravian netted the first two goals of the second quarter to pull within 3-2, however, FDU-Florham added two more goals for a 5-2 halftime lead. The Devils added three more tallies in the third quarter for an 8-2 lead before both teams scored once in the final quarter. Sophomore midfielders Ken Blom and T.J. Hirsch and freshman attack Scott Jackson each scored for the Greyhounds while sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld had two assists for Moravian. Moravian's non-conference match versus York (PA) College, that was scheduled for Thursday, March 24th at Moravian Academy's North Campus has been postponed due to field conditions. The match has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 14th at 4:00 p.m. and will be played at Moravian Academy due to construction at the Steel Field Complex.

The Greyhounds earned their second win of the season, defeating Alvernia College, 18-1, in non-conference action. Moravian jumped out to a 6-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and the Greyhounds had a 12-0 advantage at halftime. Moravian would lead 15-0 heading to the final period. Sophomore attack Daniel Larson led Moravian with four goals, and he added three assists while sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld had eight assists and one goal in the victory. Sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti and freshman attack Scott Jackson each netted three goals. Junior midfielder Peter Coldwell had two goals in the match. The Greyhounds played their first match of the 2005 season in Bethlehem, falling to rival Muhlenberg College, 17-3, in a non-conference match played at Lehigh University's Ronald Ulrich Turf Field. Moravian will be playing all of its home games at neutral sites this season due to renovations at the Steel Field Complex and the installation of a synthetic playing surface that will be dedicated as Rocco Calvo Field in the fall when completed. Muhlenberg jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first quarter and led 8-2 at halftime. The Mules scored all five goals in the third quarter and added four more in the fourth while the Greyhounds had one tally in the final 15 minutes. Moravian received two goals from sophomore attack Nick Cacciutti and a goal and an assist from sophomore attack Daniel Larson. Sophomore attack Clint Quedenfeld also had an assist for the Greyhounds. Sophomore midfielder Ken Blom and T.J. Hirsch each had four ground balls to lead the Greyhounds, and Blom won six of 15 face-offs in the match. However, Marymount scored twice in the final 15 minutes to Moravian's one goal for the victory.
