Moravian closed out its 2006 season with a 10-6 loss to Elizabethtown College in a Middle Atlantic Conference match at Rocco Calvo Field. The contest was Moravian's first of the season at Rocco Calvo Field, which had been unusable due to construction. Sophomore defender David Poppe led the Greyhounds with nine ground balls while Hirsch added five ground balls and won three face-offs. Sophomore goalie Benjamin Larson had 18 saves to go with five ground balls for Moravian. Tom Welch led Elizabethtown with three goals and two assists while Jeff Cowan added two goals and an assists. Frankie Puzzangara had a goal and an assist while winning 16 of 18 face-offs for the Blue Jays and scooping up nine ground balls. The Greyhounds dropped their final road match of the season, falling to Widener University, 18-6, in Middle Atlantic Conference action. The Pioneers had a 39-20 advantage in shots, a 31-28 edge in ground balls and won 17 of 27 face-offs. Freshman attack Jason Tosches scored a pair of goals for Moravian while freshman attack Keith Danner and freshman midfielder Bradley McVaugh each had a goal and an assist. Junior midfielder T.J. Hirsch and sophomore midfielder Aaron Satterfield each found the back of the cage once while junior midfielder Ken Blom had one assist. Hirsch led the Greyhounds with six ground balls, and he won ten of 20 face-offs. Freshman goalie Benjamin Larson had six saves and three ground balls in the first half of the match while sophomore keeper Peter Coutros had eight saves and three ground balls in the second half for Moravian. Moravian earned its third straight victory with a 12-2 win over Alvernia College in non-conference action at Lehigh University's Robert Ulrich Turf Field. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 4-0 first quarter lead, and Moravian was up 6-0 at halftime. The Greyhounds would extend their lead to 8-0 before the Crusaders scored, and Moravian led 10-1 after three quarters. The Greyhounds had a 44-24 advantage in shots and a 42-26 edge in ground balls while both teams won nine face-offs and had a man-up goal. Freshman attack Keith Danner led the Greyhounds with three goals while freshman attack Christopher Dannie netted a pair of goals. Junior midfielder T.J. Hirsch scored two goals and added two assists, and he also won seven of eight face-offs and had four ground balls. Junior midfielder Tristan Flis netted his first two goals of the season for the Greyhounds while sophomore midfielder Aaron Satterfield had his first goal of the year. The Greyhounds won their second straight Middle Atlantic Conference match, defeating DeSales University, 11-4, on the HUB Quad. Moravian jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead and led 2-1 at the end of the first quarter. The Greyhounds would score the only goals of the second quarter to head into the intermission with a 4-1 lead. Moravian added two more goals in the third quarter and led 6-2 after 45 minutes. The Greyhounds had a 39-23 advantage in shots, a 36-29 edge in ground balls and won 16 of 18 face-offs in the match. Freshman attack Christopher Danni scored a career high five goals Moravian and he had one assist and three ground balls. Junior midfielder Ken Blom added three goals, two assists and four ground balls while freshman attack Jason Tosches had two goals and an assist. Junior midfielder T.J. Hirsch scored the Greyhounds' other goal and led the team with six ground balls and a nine-for-12 performance on face-offs. Moravian earned its first Middle Atlantic Conference victory of the season and snapped an eight-match losing streak with a 6-5 victory at King's College. The Monarchs had a 1-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 3-1 lead at the intermission. King's would still hold a 4-3 lead after three quarters but the Greyhounds netted three goals in the final 15 minutes while holding the Monarchs to one for the victory. Junior midfielder TJ Hirsch led the Greyhounds with three goals while freshmen attacks Christopher Danni and Jason Tosches and freshman midfielder Kyle Gardner each scored once. Danni netted the game-winning goal for Moravian while Tosches had a pair of assists as did junior midfielder Ken Blom. Hirsch won seven of ten face-offs in the match while sophomore defenders David Poppe and Adam Melroy and sophomore defender Steven Carroll each had four ground balls. Freshman goalie Benjamin Larson earned his first career victory in the cage for the Greyhounds, making eight saves and a team high six ground balls. Gary Morgan had a paor of goals for King's while Paul Moran had a goal and an assist. Tim Cassi made 12 saves for the Monarchs.

Moravian played its first match of the season on campus and its first-ever contest on the HUB Quad, falling to the University of Scranton, 10-7, in a Middle Atlantic Conference match. The Greyhounds scored the first goal of the contest; however, the Royals netted the next three and led 4-2 after one quarter. Scranton scored the only goal of the second quarter with less than 30 seconds remaining in the half to head to the intermission with a 5-2 lead. Both teams scored two goals in the third quarter and three goals in the fourth quarter. Moravian finished the game with a 35-32 edge in shots and a 34-28 advantage in ground balls while Scranton won 15 of 22 face-offs. Junior midfielder Ken Blom led the Greyhounds with three goals and an assist while junior midfielder TJ Hirsch had two goals and an assist. Freshman attack Jason Tosches scored Moravian's other two goals while sophomore midfielder Aaron Satterfield and freshman midfielder Bradley McVaugh each had assists. Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead less than a minute into the match when junior midfielder Ken Blom scored; However, Muhlenberg would score twice to end the first quarter with a 2-1 lead. The Greyhounds would tally the first two goals of the second quarter to retake the lead at 3-2 on goals by Blom and freshman attack Jason Tosches. The Mules would tie the match up before halftime. In the second half, Muhlenberg scored six unanswered goals for the victory. Muhlenberg finished the game with a 39-23 advantage in shots, a 42-26 edge in ground balls and won ten of 15 face-offs. Moravian began the 2006 season with a 6-2 non-conference victory over Vassar College in a match played at Robert Ulrich Turf Field on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University due to construction at Rocco Calvo Field. This is the second time in the three years of men's lacrosse at Moravian that the Greyhounds have won their season opening match and the earliest the team has played in the month of February. Moravian took a 1-0 lead on a goal by junior midfielder Ken Blom. Vassar would tie the match; however, the Greyhounds scored the final three goals of the first half for a 4-1 halftime lead. Junior attack Nick Cacciutti led Moravian with three goals while junior attack Daniel Larson had a goal and an assist. Moravian sophomore midfielder Aaron Satterfield also added an assist in the victory. Greyhound sophomore goalie Peter Coutros made two saves while playing the first half of the match while freshman keeper Benjamin Larson had seven saves in the second half. Moravian had a 29-20 advantage in shots, a 35-16 edge in ground balls and won nine of 12 face-offs. For Vassar, sophomore attack Tristan Jemiolo had a goal and an assist while sophomore attack Eric Schrager added a goal and junior midfielder Steven Cataldo had an assist. Junior goalie Will Widen made seven saves for the Brewers.
