ABBATE NAMED TO MAC HONOR ROLL

ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior wide receiver Michael Abbate (South Plainfield, NJ/Bishop Ahr HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Football Honor Roll for his performance last week.

In a 46-20 loss to Widener University, the first loss of the season for the Greyhounds, Abbate had a career day receiving with seven receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns. His 188 yards was the third highest single-game total in Moravian history. Abbate’s two touchdown catches were from 21 and 41 yards. He also had a reception of 50 yards in the game. Abbate also made four punt returns for 24 yards.

Moravian is now 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth this fall. The Greyhounds will travel to King’s College for a MAC game this Saturday, October 7th beginning at 1:30 p.m.
