THREE NAMED MORAVIAN ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Senior Dustin Collier (Easton/Freedom HS) of the football team, freshman Joe Grady (Nanticoke/Nanticoke HS) of the men’s cross country squad and sophomore Jen Genevese (Whitehall/Whitehall HS) from the women’s tennis team have been named the Moravian College Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances last week.

Collier, a defensive end, had the best day of his career with 14 tackles including ten assisted tackles and two pass break-ups in the Greyhounds 17-14 loss at King’s College.

Grady paced the Greyhounds to a 14th place team finish at the Dickinson Invitational with his best time of the season, 27:24.0 over the 8,000-meter course.  Grady’s time placed him 34th of the 268 runners in the race.

Genevese led the Greyhounds to their seventh straight Middle Atlantic Conference playoff appearance with two singles wins and two doubles victories in MAC Commonwealth action last week.  Moravian in 9-2 on the season and 5-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.
