BARLOK NAMED MAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College freshman tailback Tim Barlok (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Catholic HS) was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Greyhounds 52-33 victory over Susquehanna University last Saturday.

Barlok, who had minus five yards on eight carries at halftime with the Greyhounds trailing Susquehanna 14-9, put on a second half show to finish the game with 197 yards on 22 carries and four touchdowns as Moravian scored 43 second half points.  The 197 yards was the fifth best game in Moravian history and the 52 points were the most Moravian had scored since 1994 when the team beat Muhlenberg 50-17.  Barlok had 202 yards on 14 carries in the second half with touchdown runs of 14, 7, 24, and a school record 95 yards.  The last touchdown, which broke Jack Iannantuono's record of 91 yards set back in 1970, came with 3:24 remaining in the contest and was the final touchdown of the game.  Barlok, who had two receptions for six yards and a touchdown, also scored the first touchdown of the contest, hauling in a nine-yard score with 19 seconds left in the first quarter.

The Greyhounds are 5-3 on the season and clinched the first non-losing season since 1997 with the win.  Moravian will play at Wilkes University on Saturday, November 4th at 1:00 p.m.
