ZIPF NAMED COMMONWEALTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College freshman outside hitter Kim Zipf (Wyomissing/ Holy Name HS) was named the Commonwealth Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Zipf led Moravian to a 4-1 record last week with 99 kills (4.71 per game), a .350 hitting percentage (99-30-197), 8 blocks and 126 digs (6.0 per game) in 21 games.  Zipf, who was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Elizabethtown College Halloween Classic, had 86 kills (4.78 per game) and 114 digs (6.33 per game) to help the Greyhounds to a 3-1 record at the tournament and a second place finish.  Zipf's highest kill total was 29 in a 3-2 win over Gettysburg College and she had 32 digs in a 3-1 win over Western Maryland College.  Zipf also added 24 kills in a loss to tournament champion Roberts Wesleyan and 29 digs against Gettysburg, 28 digs versus Roberts Wesleyan College and 25 digs in a 3-1 win over Salisbury State University.  Zipf had 13 kills and 12 digs in a 3-0 win over Widener to open the week and clinch third place for the Greyhounds. 

Moravian is 20-8 overall and will play at Susquehanna in the Commonwealth Conference Semifinals.
