WOLFSBERGER & JORDAN NAMED ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Junior Heidi Wolfsberger (Moosic/Riverside HS) of the women's
indoor track & field team and senior guard David Jordan (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point
Pleasant Boro HS) from the men's basketball squad have been named the Moravian College
Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances last week.
Wolfsberger was second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:04.46 at the Bucknell University/Hershey
Relays this past weekend. Wolfsberger, who is already a NCAA Division III automatic
qualifier in the 1,500 meters, was also a member of two relay teams for the Greyhounds,
helping the distance medley relay team to a third place finish in 12:19.19 (a new Moravian
College record) and leading the 4x800-meter relay squad to a fourth place finish in 9:52.99.
Jordan led the Greyhounds to an 83-74 win over Lebanon Valley College last Saturday with
a team high 27 points and nine rebounds. Jordan is now within 135 points of becoming
the 16th player in Moravian College history to score 1,000 points in a career. He
added 11 points and a team best eight rebound sin a loss to Albright College earlier in
the week. Moravian is 3-9 overall and 1-4 in the Commonwealth Conference heading
into a game versus Elizabethtown College on Tuesday, January 16th at 8:00 p.m.
in Johnston Hall.
