JORDAN NAMED TO COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE ALL-STAR SECOND TEAM

ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior guard David Jordan (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant Borough HS) of the Moravian College men's basketball team has been named to the 2000-01 Commonwealth Conference All-Star Second Team.

Jordan, who helped the Greyhounds finish the season with a 9-15 overall mark and a 4-10 slate in the Commonwealth Conference with five wins in their last seven games, led the team in scoring with an average of 16.1 points per game.  Jordan also had a team-best 54 three-pointers, 30.9 minutes per game and 39 steals this winter.  He shot 39.9 percent (120-301) from the floor and 38.3 percent (54-141) behind the three-point line.  Jordan, who was third on the squad at 4.9 rebounds per game, added 42 assists in his final season and shot 79.3 percent (92-116) from the foul line.

In his career, Jordan was the 16th player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points, a feat which he did not accomplish in high school.  He scored 1,059 points and made a school record 150 three-pointers during his career.  Jordan also had 303 rebounds, 139 assists and 114 steals in 96 career games for the Greyhounds.

Jordan was a two-time member of the Lehigh Valley Small College Men's Team of the Year.
