ZIPF NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College sophomore outside hitter Kim Zipf (Wyomissing, PA/Holy Name HS) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance last weekend.

Zipf led the Greyhounds to a 3-1 record and a third place finish at the Messiah College Tournament to open the season.  Zipf was one of two Moravian players to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.  She averaged 3.43 kills and had a .303 hitting percentage while starting all 14 games.

In a 3-0 win over Philadelphia Biblical University to open the season, Zipf had nine kills, three service aces and ten digs.  She added 13 kills, 12 digs and two service aces in a 3-1 victory versus Savannah College of Art & Design.

Zipf contributed 12 kills, 13 digs and a service ace in Moravian's 3-0 loss to NAIA power Roberts Wesleyan College and she finished the tournament with 14 kills, 23 digs and two service aces in a 3-1 victory over Gallaudet University.
