FDU-MADISON CANCELS FOOTBALL GAME VERSUS MORAVIAN
BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College football game at FDU-Madison has been cancelled
for Saturday, September 15th.
"FDU-Madison decided this afternoon to cancel the football game due to this week's tragic
events in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania," stated Paul R. Moyer, Moravian
College Director of Athletics and Recreation. "Moravian will host its other scheduled
athletic events this weekend." (Saturday, September 15th - women's soccer versus
Widener University, field hockey versus Widener University, women's tennis versus Lebanon
Valley College, and the men's and women's cross country teams running in an invitational
at Middlebury College in Vermont)
Moravian resumed athletic events on Thursday, September 13th after postponing contests
for two days.
No make-up date for the Moravian - FDU-Madison football game has been scheduled at this
time. The other five football games scheduled that include teams from the Middle
Atlantic Conference will still be played. Two MAC schools, FDU-Madison and the University
of Scranton, have postponed all of their athletic events for the weekend. The Centennial
Conference will play its weekend schedule as planned while the New Jersey Athletic Conference
has cancelled all athletic events through the weekend.
