MORAVIAN WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED 1ST IN NATION 
FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK

The Moravian College women's cross country team remained the top team in the nation for the fourth straight week in the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Poll released Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who have won four of five meets they have run in this season and they placed third at the Paul Short Invitational last Saturday, defeating two other schools ranked in the top 25 last week and one school ranked in the NCAA Division I Top 25.

Moravian has placed three of its top five runners in the top 25 of each race this season and all five have been in the top 50 of each event.  The four top finishers have all been seniors led by Heidi Wolfsberger (Moosic, PA/Riverside HS), who won the Kutztown Invitational to open the season and the NYU Invitational.  Kim Jaick (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh HS) won the Lehigh Valley Championship and has been second for the Greyhounds in the other four races.  The other seniors are Emily Shertzer (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin HS) and Erin Boyle (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy HS).  Moravian's other top finisher has been freshman Chelsea Mullins (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe HS).

The Greyhounds will compete in the university division of the DeSales Invitational hosted by DeSales University on Saturday, October 13th.
