LAWRENCE NAMED COMMONWEALTH VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College sophomore setter Amy Lawrence (Gettysburg, PA/Delone Catholic HS) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the week for her performance last week.

Lawrence led the Greyhounds to a 3-2 record last week including a 2-2 mark at the Western Maryland Green Terror Invitational and a third place finish in the Gold Bracket.  Lawrence was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Green Terror Invitational and it was the third all-tournament team she has been named to this season.  She averaged 10.28 assists over 18 games last week and she added 3.4 digs and 1.2 kills per game with a .340 hitting percentage.

Moravian is currently 16-6 on the season and 4-1 in the Commonwealth Conference.  The Greyhounds can clinch a home playoff spot with wins in their final to conference matches of the season, the first of which is Wednesday, October 17th versus Susquehanna University beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
