WOLFSBERGER NAMED CO-ECAC RUNNER OF THE WEEK

CENTERVILLE, MA --- Senior Heidi Wolfsberger (Moosic, PA/Riverside HS)< of the Moravian College women's cross country team has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Co-Division III Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance last week.

Wolfsberger earned her third straight Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championship title and led the Greyhounds to their ninth consecutive team title in the 2001 MAC Championships.  Wolfsberger completed the 5,000-meter course in 18:31.30, 23 seconds ahead of the second place finisher and teammate, Emily Shertzer (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin HS).  Moravian, which maintained the No. 1 ranking in Division III for the six weeks before falling to No. 3 this week, has had Wolfsberger has won four of seven races this season.

Wolfsberger will try to defend her NCAA Division III Mideast Regional title on Saturday, November 10th in the Mideast Regional at Lehigh University hosted by Muhlenberg College.
