Wednesday, March 6, 2002 MORAVIAN TO SEND FIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES TO NCAA INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field team will be sending five student-athletes to this weekend's 2002 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships at Ohio Northern University in Mount Ida, Ohio, on March 8th and 9th. Senior Steph Horne will be competing in the 55-meter hurdles after qualifying with a time of 8.53 seconds, a Moravian College record. Horne will compete on Friday in the preliminary races. The Greyhounds will also be sending a distance medley relay team of seniors Erin Boyle and Heidi Wolfsberger, junior Jen Wagner and freshman Heather McGarvie. The distance medley relay team qualified with a time of 12:08.3 and Moravian had its distance medley relay team earn All-American honors last season with a top eight finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships. |
