GREYHOUND SOFTBALL RANKED IN NCAA STATS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team, ranked 20th in the nation and off to a 24-6 start this season, is ranked in four categories and two individual players are each ranked in the second NCAA Division III statistical report of the season released Wednesday.

The rankings, which include games completed by April 14th, have the Greyhounds ranked seventh in earned-run average at 0.97; tied for eighth in win-loss percentage at .857, 15th in the nation in fielding percentage at .961 and 23rd in batting average at .343.

Individually, senior pitcher Rachel Mowrey (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley HS) is 21st in earned run average with an ERA of 1.01.  Sophomore third baseman Janelle Brey (Allentown, PA/Dieruff HS) is 21st in the nation in RBIs per game at 1.22 (33 RBIs in 27 games) and she is 22nd in homeruns per game at 0.26 (seven homers in 27 contests).

The Greyhounds return to action on Thursday, April 18th in a non-conference doubleheader at Delaware Valley College beginning at 3:00 p.m.
