MORAVIAN MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM RANKED SECOND IN NATION
IN FREE THROW PERCENTAGE
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College men's basketball team is currently ranked second
in the country in free throw percentage, connecting on 78.7 percent of its attempts, in
the third release of the NCAA Division III national statistics for the 2001-02 season,. The
rankings include games through Monday, January 14th.
The Greyhounds, currently 9-6 on the season, had made 259 of 329 attempts in the team's
first 14 games of the season and trailed just Baldwin-Wallace College of Ohio, which has
a percentage of 81.3 (218 of 268). After Wednesday night's game, the Greyhounds had
dropped to 77.3 percent, which is still second in the country. Moravian has shot
under 70 percent in just four games this season and the squad has hit for over 80 percent
in six games.
